Wright Thompson hung out at our tailgate for a little while that day. Tweeted a couple of pics while he was there. True story.
He's probably my favorite sportswriter, so it was awesome to meet him.

Thanks another great Les Miles article. I love the fact he is our head coach.
I really appreciate the QUALITY man CLM is. Calling the beat writer to say congrats on the birth of a child after a prior miscarriage is hugely honorable.
To the man, the myth, the legend Coach Miles!

frick ESPN and their fricking trolling piece. Nothing about how bama didn't even deserve to be playing in the mulligan game. Let's write a story on that; how okie ST got fricked and won their conference and political bullshite got the Gump cheating bastards in that game.
This is strictly my opinion.
But this comment is one of the most singularly bizarre, nonsensical, rambling and dumbassery filled responses that I do believe I've ever seen here.
How strange that some people can find triggers for anger and vents for their idiocy-laced bile & invective where others find some of the most respect-instilling, trust-reaffirming, uplifting pieces of sports journalism they've ever read.
I mean this with every fiber of my being: I thank God every day I don't look at the world with your eyes, Bro. I'd be one sad sack of sh!t.

LSU are largely insecure and the littlest things can set them off on a anger filled rant on about nothing important

was it on Tower Dr. near the union? I think in the Coates parking lot?
I saw him there

chances are he read the title and thought it was some random espn writer insulting LSU. If he were familiar with Wright Thompson's work, however, he would understand that isn't so.

Great article. It also confirmed something I thought about the game -- I hated going for the kick because it was the one time we went conservative. I think the failed calls actually worked in our favor because of the whole "all in" attitude. I love the belief he places in his players. He says, "Go out and make plays" and usually, they do. He trusts his players like no other coach in football. I love that.
And Fury, I thought I was your favorite writer. And I'll be drunk at your tailgate this weekend.

Miles is a great coach. Recruits well because he plays so many players, freshman to seniors, and uses them well. They love him and play hard for him.

Great article written by the best in the business, Wright Thompson.
That dude in person is so chill and intelligent. It was an honor meeting him a few times at the bar in Oxford during my time there.

Great article with alot of insight into how and why
miles does what he does. The man is no idiot as some like to call him. He does everything with passion and heart even though it doesn't always make alot of fans happy

I love one of the picture captions:
And a large portion of LSU "fans" call this guy names and want to fire him. SMH.
