The helmet has been due for an update for a long time. Something more hip with today's culture. If the "student athletes" like it and it will bring more "student athletes" I am all for it

The helmets and uniforms were updated vs Arkansas in 2010 and Auburn in 2011. The team really responded well to the fresh look and it showed on the field. Lots of players gave positive reviews of the gold helmets vs ark. Had a more modern look
