Lakers - with Kobe's retirement they have ample cap space to sign 1-2 impact FA's, have Hibbert, Randle and a few other young guards....add Simmons. Challenging for 6th-8th seed out West.

Philly is more intriguing b/c the East is so weak. They have Okafor and Noel, so where does Simmons fit? They don't have a bona-fide SF (Simmons does not shoot well enough YET for that spot), and I'm not sure how their cap space looks...

Showtime, in LA!

WTF?

The NBA is awesome right now. Golden State/OKC series is setting up to be an all-timer and Lebron is destroying shite in the East.

The Finals will be incredible, regardless of who is in it.

Have you watched Golden State play all year? Maybe the most fun I've had watching basketball since MJ's Bulls.

Who gives a rat's arse. He didn't ever care about his school, his fans his anything. One of the most nothing people I have ever seen play for LSU. Fall off the face of the earth as far as I care.

I also would rather see him at Philly.

Strongly dislike the Lakers and am tired of them after all these years.

I always liked Dr. J and Billy Cunningham. O'Neal is the only Laker I liked and though I realize Koby was very talented, still didn't care much for him.

Ben has experience dealing with adversity and lousy coaching at LSU and maybe he learned something in the process that will help him get through more challenges at Philly.

personally I just feel that if he goes to early in the draft that expectations by the media and fan base are going to be to high early in his career. Would be better if he slips in the draft to a mid first round pick where he will have less pressure on him to quickly develop into a NBA type player. He is just the type that is going to need a few years in the weight room and working on some sort of shooting ability before he will be able to contribute to a team. A couple years in the D-league would do him some good before he goes up against the faster stronger more developed skill level of the typical NBA player.

I just don't want to see the fan base turning against him and unfairly labeling him a bust if expectations are to high if he goes to early in the draft.

Lakers. Better organization, better opportunity. He could take Kobe's spot as the franchise player

He'll need to learn how to shoot outside of 5 feet first.

sarcasm no doubt. Simmons is going to have to go a long way just to find his way onto the floor as a role player.

Didn't read the thread. My thoughts are that I wish all former players the best in their future endeavors! If they play in a professional league, it can help the Tigers in recruiting to some extent. Although, I pull for all those guys to do well, I do not follow their respective teams. Therefore, I don't really care which team Ben joins. I'm sure he will make a nice living!
