It is not ideal but a LSU win allows for the season to end on a high note. Beating Clemson is a good win but beating Oklahoma would be a better quality win. I personally thought that Texas am would want to play elsewhere rather than the Cotton against a team that they have faced for years.

Idk why people are bitching about this. I couldn't be more excited. None of you fricks are true Tiger fans through the thick and thin. Que the old bandwagon geezers. "I sat through some terrible years and I'm still a fan! Wahh!"

I get to get fricked up, watch LSU play a top 15 team, some LSU greats will be playin in their last LSU game, and bring in the new year all in one night?! frick yeah! What in the hell is there to bitch about? I think some of you are just miserable people.

AM was the obvious pick for the Cotton. Heisman trophy winner, hottest team which beat Bama and has looked impressive since, former Big 12 team coming back to play Big 12 powerhouse in the heart of the Big 12.

I'll be there. That said, the fact that the SEC administration felt LSU should take a back seat to A&M, UGA, and USCe, rubs me the wrong way.

I am really growing tired of the SEC.

This.

It's not the outcome I'm disappointed with. It's how we got there.

Blatant shitty scheduling for the 2nd year in a row, while the other powerhouse located in the same state as the conference office, get's a cup cake deal...combined with the fact that the SEC steps in to accommodate several other teams at the expense of LSU during bowl season it just wreaks with disrespect.

All this can be settled if LSU just keeps on winning, however, it's a really shitty feeling to be behind the 8-ball before the season even starts because your conference doesn't particularly give a crap about you as a football program versus other programs within the conference.

I'd rather LSU play OU in Dallas so much more than Clemson in the CFa. It's not even supposed to be a competitive game (which I find surprising) and LSU really can't accomplish much by winning.

I agree with the original post and have spoken the same message.

It is impossible to play in a "better" bowl if the opponent is worse! If the opponent is worse it isn't a better bowl. This year the peach bowl is better than the cotton.

I am happy for TAM getting to play in the Cotton. I hope TAM sticks it to Oklahoma and the Big-12.

TAM could become a recuiting monster in a few years now that they are in the SEC.

The SEC West is going to be amazing if Auburn can regroup, and Arkansas takes advantage of their proximity to Texas talent.

I'd rather play a name team that we rarely get the chance to play.

I thought Aggie kinda got screwed with the Cotton and having to play the B12 OU again. I'm not disappointed with the Clemson matchup at all.

I hear idiots whining about the bowl payout all the time like it makes any difference.

We've been in CFA bowl a dozen times it feels like and the bowl carries zero prestige. No one brags about how many CFA bowls their team won. even Our crappy 2008 team won there so it sucks that good LSU teams in 2005 and 2012 get put there too. Also, Clemson is one of those dangerous but wholly uninteresting teams for which LSU gets a yawn if we win but be laughed at if we lose. Clemson has a dangerous offense but beating them won't garner a blip nationally.

Would you rather LSU be in the Big East instead of the SEC and dominating those sorry little teams?

I want the Bama deal, play a team in in the NC that most everybody believes is not a Championship quality team.

That way the media can slobber all over them in the offseason. Basically annoit them champs for next year, regardless of the ridiculously easy schedule they are getting

It is a loose situation for Lsu. If we win so what we were suppose to. If we loose we let the SEC down. I am just happy we got a bowl but I think we got screwed because we beat A&M & South Carolina but they got better bowls & by the way Geaux Irish!

There's not much better bowls that wouldn't have featured better teams than this. The Chicken Bowl is beneath LSU this year. I don't know anybody who would dispute that a 2 loss season shouldn't be in this shite bowl. Aleva is gutless to allow this team to play in this bullshite. He should have stood up to Slive and the Birmingham Mafia.

There's nothing LSU can accomplish by winning this game. Nothing.

It's not the name or the payout. It's being passed over, under the influence of the conference office, by two teams with the same record, both of whom LSU beat.

That said, I'll be there.

Well said. We'll be there, too, and bought our tickets from LSU. But everynow and then you get tired at the SEC and its lame commissioner never do anything to help LSU and our passive AD just sit back and shrug.

Sorry, but no. OU>>>>Clemson

Not to mention the recruiting prestige it brings to go into Dallas and kick OU's arse.
