Recruits will be at home watching the game or at the game at 2 pm on Dec. 30th. It will be the only thing for them to watch actually.

Nah. Nashville is a great city. I think the players will have a great time. They deserve something different.

Pretty sure Paul Bryant, Nick Saban, REC, ESPN, Landon Collins, Tom Ritter, Speedy Noil, Andrew Crutchfield, John Curtis, and Kirk Herbstreit all had roles in this screw job against LSU.

How do you people not realize how big of a deal it is to play Notre Dame?

They might have the most fans nationally and are a media darling. It is the most storied program in college football history.

Playing ND is huge, even if they aren't great and Texas is even worse this year.

Nashville is a wonderful city, its clean, great bar and music scene, great food scene, dozens of hotels within walking distance to stadium and Broadway which is like a clean Bourbon St, no crime, and its not in fricking Texas.

We already played a game in Houston this year as well.

I can't even begin to describe how much better Nashville is than Houston. Houston is a smog filled mega city.

I do.

For the reasons listed above.

But my dislike of Houston goes wayyyy beyond my brief stint in Nashville. If I lived in Texas, I'd still rather Nashville. Houston fricking blows.

We get it. Nashville is a great city. The problem is the distance. With the type of season that LSU had, bowl tickets were gonna be a tough sell anyway. Having us play close to home in a city with a major LSU alumni presence would've lessened the sting for a lot of fans and I think we'd have brought a sizeable contingent to Houston. I don't feel the same about Nashville. The game is the middle of the week, in the afternoon, in a city that is at least an 8 hour drive from Baton Rouge. During the holidays, people don't have a lot of extra money to spend, so Houston would've been a cheaper destination as well. Throw into the mix that Tennessee can get nasty cold in late December/early January, and you have the makings of a poor fan turnout, which is the last thing that LSU wants.
