The article he linked even states they did not put it in their policy until 2011 after they saw all the tests for it. So while they were showing positve for spice, they werent "failing" because it was not banned yet

Exactly, and I seriously doubt LSU's compliance office being compared to Auburn's (notorious for their "irregularities") is the way we want to be rated.

Fact is that we don't know if Les or the admin made those decisions, but I think people assuming Les made either of the decisions to boot RP or Mathieu is a bit naive. I don't think Les kicks off Winston in the same circumstances as was never charged with his most egregious crime.

Just rape and battery. I would never accuse Jeremy Hill of cursing in a cafeteria!

And I'm not trying to compare the on-field merits of JH and JW, jus sayin.

One of which happened in HS before ever being on campus as an LSU student.

It is so easy to point to that instance as a flaw for JH, but just remember back to being a senior in HS and having cute freshmen girls around. Does that excuse it? No but it shows you it isn't as easy to avoid as so many like to think. I would also venture to say if he wasn't high profile player this story never gets out.

He was disciplined for the drunk punch of a guy coming at him.

I'm just trying to say that after how I have seen Les handle 3 separate incidents with off-the-field behavior and in my opinion, if JW was playing for LSU he might serve a suspension, but no way would he be off the team.

I think with the signing memorabilia allegations he would send JW packing.

Crab Legs: Suspension
Yelling in the quad: Suspension

Reading the facts on the rape case for JW is pretty disturbing. Sounds like a lot of cover up. I don't think BR/LSU would stoop to the level of incompetence shown there. I think Miles would have said he's gone until further notice for that.

Not all rapes are created equal. I would say stealing crabs is worse than getting in bar fight, wouldnt you?

That's a tough one. On one hand, retaliation after being provoked while drunk is a situation where most could empathize. On the other, have you seen the price of dungeoness crab legs???

Do you not remeber him in 2007 at all? Do you not remember that SECCG? The WRs and RBs we had in 2008, we're just waiting for a competent QB. The last great TE we had in richard Dickson? We could have at least won a shootout against UGA (Lee threw 2 pic 6s, we lost be 14), and beat Alabama (Lee threw 4 pics, 1 pic 6, we lost in over time by 6) and Arkansas (lost 31-30 with JJ's first start). I'm pretty sure we beat every other team that year with Perriloux, besides UF.

well, its pretty hard to believe that they had up to 24 players smoking spice... and nothing else. just that.

Winston isn't a suspect in an FBI probe.

Disagree. The man's last two games he was the SECCG MVP and an integral part of the BCSNC game. He was going to keep the 10 or more win seasons rolling and quite possibly win another SEC title; maybe more. Les knew darn well he was forfeiting most of his shot at those things when he booted Perrilloux, who, despite his wayward road, was still good enough to make it to the NFL. Very possible Winston would be gone, not only from LSU but a number of other SEC schools as well.

the power of the big five is already showing.
fsu did nothing about the autographs, so ga forgot about the todd gurley suspension!

it ain't the ncaa anymore.

lsu probably would have overlooked rp and tm's indiscretions, if the ncaa wasn't involved.

but, rp's mom got involved and lm took that personally.

If Winston was LSU's QB he probably would be off the team.

But then again if he was LSU's QB he'd be completing just 50% of his passes and average 130 yards a game. So we probably wouldn't care because he'd suck here.
