There is no playoff. That's what the regular season is for right. Well at least that is what I have heard the last few years. Just not this year. Bama lost In the regular season (at home I might add). Yet they get a double elimination..

If lsu plays bama in the ship and let's say they lose. That leaves. 2 one loss teams who beat each other. Does this resolve anything. Nope. Just more confusion.

Lsu played and beat bama. Not sure why so many are still confused as to the better team. Especially when we are the only team left undefeated. Let's test lsu against another top team.

Not if LSU loses. It will only mean two teams split two games.

I try not to take the arrogant role....but so many damn times I always see playoff proponents take a very superficial perspective of things.

Regular season determines the 2 best teams.

2 best teams play each other.

Winner take all.

The regular season and postseason are completely seperate...just as a playoff system is.

Was there a lot of confusion about the results of the 08 SuperBowl?

Oh right, I forgot....that was playoff based and no one can question a playoff format. It is CLEARLY the best system for determining the best team out of a field in football.

When LSU beats Bama again, that will settle everything just fine.

Absolutely not. It throws it into doubt more than any other possibility.

I read an article today that said the only people who want to see an LSU / BAMA rematch are those who enjoy watching tractor pulls. Guess that's me!

Even if LSU were to lose the rematch. LSU still has a better record.

It is why some people are talking about a split title if LSU wins out and loses the title game to Bama.

And that's why, all things considered, I think the rematch is a stupid idea.

I agree.

I personally think it won't happen.
