Maybe to people who don't know what they're watching. The missed assignments and blown coverages in the secondary have been there all season. Even Florida's Treon Harris threw on LSU, and he's a running QB with no passing ability whatsoever. All of that while LSU is supposedly DBU. The secondary was supposed to be a strength.

This team nearly let Miss. State come back to win in the opener. It only led Eastern Michigan 30-22 after three quarters. It didn't truly pull away from Syracuse until the fourth quarter. The special teams have been a trainwreck all season, in part because Miles handed that unit to a guy that had already failed here as a co-defensive coordinator. To be fair, the special teams sucked last year with the same failed co-defensive coordinator in charge.

Miles has nobody to blame but himself.
