Starting 3 true freshmen. No starters returning from last year and only 1 senior on the team. If Van can keep all 7 freshmen around, they will be very good in the next few years.

The entire team is loaded with freshman. Hightower is about the only girl that isn't a freshman. After five final fours in a row we've been spoiled but the young talent has done nicely this year. I think LSU will be pretty damn good next year.

if LSU would not have missed 13 free throws (11 in the 2nd half) last Sunday..they could have beaten Auburn...

Yep. But it is what it is. The team is 11-8 with half the SEC season to go. They really need to finish at least one game better in the second half (5-2) than they did in the first half (4-3). If they do, they'll probably still be in the NCAA tournament.

Hey, big improvement. Six decent replies before the stupid teenager post this time.

Well, they've started up to 4 freshmen per game.

They need to get that Plaissance girl in La. and the #1 recruit that went to the same school as Graham.

Very young and simply need time and improved shooting. Should be back to a 20-win team next year IMHO.

Not really. Contrary to popular belief, shooting percentages for women's and men's college basketball teams is generally pretty close nationally among the top ten or twenty teams year in and year out.

Keep Van around another three or four years and watch the program fade into oblivion.

As long as Bob Starkey and Travis Mays are on that staff, you can believe they'll continue to be at or near the top in women's basketball. Recruiting will continue to be great and their defense will never fall off.

Hope you're right. I had the impression though that Pokey was a pretty big recruiting force too, one that obviously won't be returning.
