I’m all for adding Texas and OU if we move to the pod system. This would allow us to play teams like Tennessee and Georgia more often but also keep the Alabama and Auburn regularly too. If they stick to the 2 division I’m out. I don’t want to be apart of the old SWC and only see Alabama/Auburn at home once a decade

Well said I agree. The financial benefits and competition would be great for the SEC but it has to be done the right way.

We don't need Texas and/or Oklahoma and I don't want them in the SEC... just my opinion.

We already have plenty of name-brand schools ... we already get plenty of national attention and national recruits.

OU/Texas joining the SEC helps THEM. It does make the SEC a lot stronger, tougher and more valuable conference.

The pod concept works for maintaining more rivalries and greater variety of matchups which make for good TV so I think pods will be a given.

Regardless of Pods or Divisions, I am strongly against adding Texas and OU.

Let both of them rot away in the Big12 or Pac12 or move to the ACC and have big marquee matchups with Wake Forest and Duke and NCState and finally give Clemson some competition in that conference.

I agree w/pods. If u make 4x4 team pods, play your 3 plus 1 pod each year plus 1, i.e., 8 games. You play everybody every 3 years & visit everybody at least every 6 years. MAKE SURE YOU SPREAD THE "FOOTBALL" SCHOOLS (I.E., LSU, A&M, TEX, OU, ALA, AUB, FLA, GEO) AROUND. TWO PER POD TO MAKE IT EVEN.
SEC champ game is highest rated 2 team.

At least I feel better with Woodward handling LSU's vote, rather than Joe Alleva.

I agree Woodward will make the best decision for LSU. That said, it’s actually Tate that gets to make our vote unless he defers to Woodward.

I think the pod system would be awesome. I hate the current scheduling format because you only get the opportunity to travel to the away stadiums of the East once every 12 years or whatever it is. I think an athlete should be able to experience every stadium environment during the course of their 4-year career.

I don't like the permanent rivalry thing if we do go beyond divisions. Particularly 3 rivalry teams. Just play everyone on rotation.

That is only 7 games. Would you play 5 non-conference games?

If you play your pod plus 2 other pods each year, that would be 11 games.

I agree. I'd hate to not play Bama every year. Even though we haven't won many, it's always the most anticipated game of the year - and Death Valley gets crazy
