It is all about being in the hunt and it is always about next year.

The fact so many people still think the playoff committee is going to let two teams from the same conference in tells me just how uninformed most of you are.

10-2 is really good most seasons...not 2016.

Yeah 10-2 next year is NOT good. Why?

You throw out 3 of the 10 (Jax St., So. Miss, So. Alabama) then the real record would be 7-2. With more than likely the 2 losses coming from SECW opponents. Puts the Tigers firmly in the 2 or 3 spot in the West looking forward to another early December Bowl in'16.

SEC West or its not enough. That's competing for championships, which is CLMs own stated goal. Its been 5 years

This is why the "L" column means more than the "W" column. It's why I prefer to speak in terms of how many losses to expect rather than how many wins.

I would say 0-1 loss in 2016 is and should be the expectation.

Most people don't think about the fact that an "8-win season" means a "4-5 loss season" and a "10-win season" means a "2-4 loss season."

Only if our losses are close games. Getting drummed in any 1 game should be grounds for a coaching search. There are NO reasons for the D to underperform unless the offense is choked by a Bo Schem type scheme

I need an SEC Championship.

Whatever happens after that is fine.

If people like White and/or Beckwith had left I think NY6 is reasonable expectation due to teams like Bama and Ole Miss losing a ton of people

Now that both are back I think a playoff appearance is now necessary

Yes

Because that means things are trending back in the right direction. Obviously we'd want more success than that however.

In a perfect world we hope to be playing for a championship. But, two things happen: the competition does not rollover and play dead; and things happen likeArk 4th and 25 that allowed Bama into the SEC title and on and on. So as long we play up to our potential, even if something unusual happens and we are not playing for it all, I'll be satisfied.

Riiiiiight. And then the next year you would say we lost a bunch of starters. It's never ending

No, anything less than a SEC championship and playoff participation would be ruled as a wasted season in my opinion. Only thing that should derail the above is a few catastrophic injuries to key players

No. Ole Miss won the Sugar Bowl after a 9-3 season. A three loss season with the amount of talent and upperclassmen coming back would be a coaching job failure.

Anything less than an SEC championship will be a let down for the majority of the fanbase.

Yes. The West is tough and will be hard for any team to come out with 1 loss. Bama is loaded, Ole Miss and Arky will be really tough, Auburn should be better, aTm & Miss St are toss ups in my mind at this point. Also expect Florida to be better
