There's nothing wrong with the PMAC, just need a new video board.

What does that even mean?

Can you sit in it and watch a basketball game?

People and their ideas of "outdated" are getting ridiculous. The only thing the PMAC needs is a winning basketball program.

The PMAC is a POS, it needs to go.

The design is very 70's utilitarian/multi-purpose. It's not an aesthetically pleasing building when compared to newer arenas (ex. compare the Superdome to a place like Lucas Oil Stadium or Ford Field). It's bland and doesn't have much character inside and out. However, I agree with this....

A beautiful new building doesn't guarantee consistent attendance if the team playing there isn't all that good (ask Auburn and Ole Miss). The PMAC with this past year's performance is old and outdated. The PMAC with a consistent top 15 team is one of the most intimidating venues in the country. It's a matter of perception

I'm 6'1 and find the PMAC to be incredibly uncomfortable.

They renovated a few years ago. Added new seats, updated scoreboard, some technology.

I wonder if it varies based on where you are sitting? I'm in the upper half of the lower bowl, so it's not the roll out seats. Luckily my kids are young/small, so I can just throw my knees diagonally towards the front of their seats. But then if someone has to get into or out of the row? Forget it.

With all the budget cuts, I think you better learn to appreciate the PMAC . Of course , if LSU put a real team on the court , one that would put people in the stands year after year, a remodeling might be up for debate.

Same here. I can live with the PMAC exterior looking like an ugly 1970s spaceship thing, but the lack of seating leg room is a deal breaker for me. Its too uncomfortable.

I really don't get the PMAC hate... I mean it's not perfect, but what are yall looking for?? Especially with all the money that's been pumped into TS. Is the PMAC bad enough that we should have not expanded or upgraded TS and instead built a new b-ball arena. I would say no..

Did they buy it at a garage sale? Scoreboard is embarrassing.

The PMAC is like the Superdome: a great, architecturally significant building in which we all have a great degree of nostalgic investment. The problem with these buildings is that they are functionally obsolete based on their original design and basic configuration. Moving around seats or refinishing interior spaces does not change the fact that the building cannot function as well as a modern venue, and that is drag on the program.

Every time the State pumps tens of millions of dollars into a Superdome renovation, it still does not change the fact that the building itself is obsolete, and most of the seats are always going to be too far away from the action. The days of the domed multi purpose venue are long gone. It's a bittersweet reality, but these structures need to be replaced.

Just needs some updating, needs some of the wrap around stadium LEDs and a big jumboTron to replace that 1970 scoreboard in the middle

This is my primary actual gripe with the PMAC. I'm only 5'11" and I find myself crammed in depending on the section. It's kind of bizarre, I've found some sections and rows are more spacious than others. Feels second-rate.

ribbon boards, new hanging scoreboard, courtside seating, rip out x number of rows and respace seats to provide more leg room and cup holders. Done deal.
