Guice is more than capable of handling the workload and it's insane to jeopardize a dude's NFL career/NFL stock by firing him in there when the ankle is clearly not healed up on a 3 loss team with an interim HC.

Maybe he comes back for the bowl or something but there's no reason he should play until an Orthopedic surgeon deems him 100%.

Id be fine with Williams or Brosette getting 2nd man carries.
They'll be here next year.

Well the doctors have deemed him healthy so I guess he'll play.

Then let that be the target. He's re injured his ankle twice (maybe 3 times?) already this year...

Little bit more than a common ankle sprain but cool.

I'm on meth because I don't want to see a guy's NFL career destroyed because he tried to play through a chronic ankle problem?

Ok.

So you think he will be completely healed after 3 or 4 additional days off?

It is an ankle sprain. You play with it when you can and I have news for ya, in the NFL he will play with injuries too.

It is part of the game.

It's almost for sure a high ankle sprain or severe sprain.

Routine ankle sprains don't reoccur 2-3 times nor do they have surgery being tossed around as an option.

He needs surgery regardless IMO. I have no problem with him having it now and recovering the last month of the season.

If he's not having the surgery now, then play on, you'll be having it soon anyway. Ankles are permanently weaker after multiple injuries until surgically repaired. I would be very surprised if a franchise doesn't require it of him before an NFL season anyway. The procedure isn't that big of a deal, he will be fine soon afterward.
