Doesn't this sound like Syracuse and others last year? I know Vince is good from watching him, but this isn't the Fournette of 2014 running on pure instinct and talent alone. This guy is smart and experienced now, and they don't have Aranda. We don't have a young first year starter at QB, we aren't learning a new blocking scheme, and our guys won't be confused with twists and stunts all night.

This game will show just how far we came from that embarrassment that was the first half of the 2014 LSU/Wisconsin game.

I hope LSU just tries to run the ball at will. If they can with all their studs, I tip my cap to them and Wisconsin will move on and work to improve. Either way I like the physical matchup.
I am glad UW isn't playing a Pass first team.

I am betting LF is motivated also to put up better numbers against the Badgers this time around.

Yeah, I kinda took what they said to pretty expected and far from inflammatory.

LF is a great back, we're going in with a good scheme and hoping to stop him. We're not intimidated.

Kind of a non-starter for me.

The entire first half should be using Fournette as a decoy - then uncork him in the 2nd half.

Guice, pass and QB runs until then.

Good Lord this isn't bulletin board material. Badgers showed respect and said what they needed to say...nothing more and nothing else.

I'm sure Wisky will study the shite out of the gumps film and Arky and attempt the same type of game plan. Will Les really come up with something different if running at em doesn't work. Questioning that doesn't make me a Les hater.

You're right, Katy. The homers on this board just can't stomach any criticism of Les, no matter how legitimate or rational it is.

Wisky has a good defense. They're not a pushover. If they commit to stopping (or slowing down) the run, we'll need to be able to throw.

Wow, what a novel concept.

LSU was trying to slow down Gordon. It didn't work that well, despite what many said/thought before the game.

You mean except when Debo made Melvin Gordon arse quit.

Dural, Dupre, and Chark will be WIDE OPEN all game long with their defense selling out to stop the run.

nobody made Gordon quit. He was the best back in the country that year - ran for 2587 with 7.5 ypc. Was tearing us up (140 yards, 8.8 ypc) until he got hurt.

He didn't quit. The guy is a stud.

If the badgers had more depth on the Dline last year or if they would have just run the ball in the 2nd half it would have been hard for the Tigers to win.
I was at the game and was able to witness a great comeback, but we were getting owned for a while.

I hope they do everything humanly possible to stop the run. Push Les' hand early in the season. I want the pressure of having to win a game put on BH in game one. If you can't get it done against a team that isn't as talented as you, how can you expect anything different in late Oct/Nov? That needs to be tested before we go to Auburn.

this is honestly the best thing they could have said. Nobody said "shut down" or anything like that. This isn't locker room material, this isn't inspirational for Fournette.

I will take a 300 yard passing day from Harris in a heart beat, what LSU needs is for a good team to test the LSU coaching staff with the forward pass.

Wisky doesn't have the manpower to stop him through the whole game. LSU has far better athletes thsn Wisky. Across the board.

Thank God Gordon got nicked

Nah... I'd never thank God that a kid got injured.

Unless of course the kid was Dillon Day. I'd still love to punch that fricker.

Its probably going to be easy as Fournette will probably not play due to Ankle Injury. High Ankle Sprains take forever to get well.
