I remember this being an issue with Bielema at Wisky a few years ago. Their opponent (Oregon St I think) had their previous game cancelled and Bielema refused to send Wisky game tape to them because they weren't able to get any in return.

Are there NCAA or SEC rules that govern this sort of thing?

I don't think it would be fair for them to have to send us game film.

But I'm not in charge.

Stupid question but can't they just get a video from someone of the game? Like a dvr recording??

I'm sure they could just ask USM for the game film.

Yea. I think we can figure out a way to watch a nationally televised game.

Agreed, I remember Bielema being criticized for the way he handled it but his reasoning seemed sound to me.

I'm not a coach but I don't think it's a huge deal if we don't get coaches film, like others have said its probably super easy to get a recording of the TV broadcast.

A television broadcast doesn’t not provide the necessary view to break down plays like the endzone or over head angles do. In terms of breaking down film & dissecting the plays, a television broadcast is pretty worthless.

Yeah, we'll get what we need one way or another.

This would definitely be the alternative.

It's a valid inquiry, I think the camera angles are different. They will get a birds eye and end zone angles. Just my thought.

Did Bama get our 2011 SECCG game tape even though we couldn't get bama's 2011 SECCG game tape.
