For what it's worth I heard a first hand account of a long conversation between Jim Flores and Miles in which Flores told him he needed to relinquish control of his offense to Cameron or else...btw,Flores is the largest contributor to the TAF and one of the only ones who didn't support his overthrow back in November.

More passing plays will be added to the mix. Believe Miles will trust Harris to make some throws over the middle now that he knows the speed of the game and can see the field better. You can see it in Fall practice last year where Miles was jumping Harris for leaving WR's out to dry. He saw when they were open, but did not see when a DB had lined them up. Got a few guys crushed when we did attempt anything over the middle.

If Harris has this down, it backs up the LB's and Fournette wins the Heisman.

Miles wasn't always like this. Review his entire time here. It wasn't until the Jarrett Lee pick 6 epidemic that he went this conservative. My hope is that maybe the way last season ended and with enough people in his ear that he will loosen up the reigns a bit.

He will not run misdirection. He will not throw to the running backs coming out of the back field. He will not throw to the tight ends. You will see the 2 wide receiver sets and only throw deep and third and forever. So to make it short. You already know the answer.

I think there was a stark difference in the offenses from 2005-2008 and then after that. 2008 absolutely scared Miles into "I'm running my 1960's offense and I dont care what anyone says" mode. This last season SHOULD have been his wake up call he cant get away doing that anymore.

That 2007 offense was pretty dynamic IMO. It kept you guessing. I know most wont want to hear or accept this, but Matt Flynn was a very mediocre QB too, he was nothing special. So it's not like we had great QB play like in 2013 or 2006.

This year's offense will average a minimum of 37.5 point per game and quite possibly exceed 40 ppg. It will be dynamic.

yes. The offense we ran in 2013 was a downfield, pass-heavy offense. Different than our usual 75% run offense.

I think it's one think to say you will change. I think it's another to actually change from a way you've been doing it all your life, you truly believe is the best way, an mostly with bottom line success and move to a way of doing things that you really in your heart don't believe in. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.

You mean like Gary Patterson did and brought his team to the next level? Great coaches adjust or get left behind.

I honestly don't want it to change THAT much. We are and should be a power running team first. But we HAVE to be able to execute short and mid range passes. I think fixing/focusing on that alone would do wonders for our offensive inconsistencies.

Are you serious? That was in no way a pass heavy offense. We threw the ball 326 times to running it 523 times. It was a normal year passing just about for us, Mett just had a great year along with Landry and OBJr. The offense was the same as normal, just executed way better. Mett was hitting those short to intermediate passes which we've struggled with constantly outside of 2013 pretty much. We've always chucked the ball down the field, didn't change in 2014 or 2015.

It's a question that comes up nearly year, and every year it does we face the same disappointment.

I didnt do my homework on that issue, but it definitely seemed to me that we threw the ball more than any other offense that Les Miles has had.

are you serious clark?

every play is designed to be successful if the execution is there. and the other team does NOT know exactly what we are going to do.

The toss dive is our best play you fricking idiot...

Sorry les miles doesn't line up in 5 wide sets and throw the ball 50 times a game... Maybe Texas Tech or Oregon would be a better team for you, if not just stick to madden

Still be a running team, one thing Miles has shown is they will sling it IF he trusts his qb.

We saw LSU change their approach last season and got crushed.
