You left off Aneesha Morris when talking about next year's frontcourt.

Aneesah Morris is that a new surprise transfer. Is she a combination of Alexis Morris and Aneesah Morrow. We gonna be special next year then.

Not saying she is not good but even if she is she is at least 2 years away if she develops.

If they elect to stay and get Smith back from injury our depth just significantly got better. HVL will most likely move back to an off-ball role but if not there will be a better result with her being in the system for a second year.

However, I don't expect Reese to comeback and I expect Johnson and Williams to take major steps forward next season and both be 18-20 per game scorers.

Reading the expert couch potatoes in this thread taught me that Mikaylah Williams is lazy, doesn't defend, can't play, we don't have any outside shooters, and we should give up on the freshman center. We better revamp the whole team.

Hopefully, we bring in an sec freshman of the year type, and learn to to score and defend. Almost 90 points/game and 30+ wins just ain't gonna cut it.

I feel pretty confident that the most vocal posters never played or coached. You can hear it in their words. I am not an expert but have done both at small time level. It ain't so easy!

A positive is that women's basketball has gained enough attention to draw as many annoying posters as football on the Rant.

I think HVL will leave. I think Angel comes back but I hope not. It’s time for her to move on and take her narcissistic shenanigans to the WNBA.

My 2 cents on our team is we could win it all next year with the roster we have if everybody comes back.

Another point guard and another big would makes us better, but this is a championship level team as it stands. Hoping Smith takes the next step after sitting out with her injury, and that Jada Richard is the real deal.

Not sure how many times this needs to be said, but the NIL deals don't necessarily go away once they leave college.

This is one of those things that are true but don't mean as much as they seem to. NIL sponsors might not cancel a contract the the minute a player goes pro but it's naive to think they're going to continue longterm after the player disappears into the oblivion of the WNBA. This is all based off the Boston girl's comments but how much NIL was she pulling in in college? She was a great player but it's doubtful she was even approaching Reese/Clark levels.

And What if she’s a good player in the league?

She has more followers than A’ja Wilson and Brenna Stewart combined and also Ionescu

Ionescu,Stewart and Wilson have a shite ton of endorsements

Hell Sabrina has a signature shoe with Nike that many nba players wear

Just because you don’t watch the wnba and may see these girls on commercials and not have a clue who they are doesn’t mean they aren’t getting endorsements in the W

I’m disappointed that Georgia Amoore is headed for Kentucky to join her old coach but Michigan State’s DeeDee Hagemann would be a great consolation prize.

I predict this will happen:

At the PG, CKM tells Hagemann: “you are the playmaker and quarterback of this team and will lead us to a NC in 2025.” Hagemann comes aboard and is handed the keys to the Ferrari.

Freshman Jada Richard is the backup PG. Sophomore PG Angelica Velez gets processed.

The starting backcourt will be DeeDee Hagemann at PG, Flau’jae Johnson and Mikaylah Williams on either side of her at shooting guards.

An overcrowded back court means Hailey Van Lith has to decide by today if she wants to return to come off the bench next season. My guess is she does not and moves on.

Angel Reese? Who knows? I said she was gone but now I would not be surprised either way. Well, the suspense won’t be long. She and HVL have to announce by the end of the day today.

What’s with that 2-day window rule? Seems weird. They should have as much time to make a decision as they need until the tournament is over.

I appreciate you gave some examples. That is very interesting.

I still believe it's possible the overall interest could dwindle down between college stars and being in the wnba. However, it depends upon the individual person. That is likely not going to happen with some of these stars.

I do wonder if staying another year and being the face of college basketball could further build up the brand to even bigger heights though. Could that be a potential positive for staying?

I selfishly hope Angel still feels the same way as she did in this article.

So many posters don’t know that because they don’t watch the wnba so they just think that none of them get money outside of basketball cuz that’s the narrative

WNBA is a ratings black hole. Attendence is even worse. Deny it all you want but statistically it's fair to say that "no one" watches the WNBA. When your biggest viewership demographic is people who have fallen asleep on the couch watching something else it's hard to see the value in endorsement deals.

HVL was a premier shooter for two full years prior to coming to LSU. Competition is better in SEC but not that significantly better, proof is in the SEC teams that did not move forward very far. Something changed in her game, she was a real shooter before LSU.

What puzzles me is how passive HVL was here. She was cocky and played with swagger at Louisville. She matched Angel in trash talking. I looked forward to her bringing those attributes here but seems she left them behind.
