I remember Saban running a 4-3 defense while at LSU. Somewhere along the way he changed to a 3-4. He must have changed his thought process along way and started running something different. Does Miles have the open mindedness to change his offensive philosophy? Can he adapt or is he too stubborn?

Didn't he say in the press conference right after the game there will be big changes next year? Maybe I'm just making this up, either way though he says a lot of things that don't happen.

One can only hope we change now that the 5 year "career" of JJ has ended.

Do not forget we had a vertical passing game the first two years Miles was here.

I tend to believe he will try to make changes. I'm just saying, after all the "we need both qbs to win" talk and then not playing both I have my doubts.

I still don't get where the stick with the option comes from though... I would think his philosophy would be run run run play action.

The first 9 games we were pretty balanced. Some people show their football ignorance with statements/questions like this. MAN! The game plan and "type" of offense would have probably done better with someone who could execute it. I saw WR open down the field plenty... somebody has to throw to them!

He also said a 2-QB system made this team better.

Dont trust him. Hes a documented liar. His WRs know it. Theyre leaving

2006, 2007, and 2008 told me you're judging.

no. Everytime he fricks something up, we have to wait another year for him to fix it. Who is to say stud is even qualified to run the offense? Fact is, that is who we have next year. We went through this with the defense, and now we have yet to see a functioning offense with loads of talent.

who knows what is in store for the future. i like to remain positive thought.

what blows my mind is, if miles could go back and do it over, i am not sure he would change anything. That is how pig headed he is.

Retarded people stay retarded. They don't become unretarded. So, the answer would be "No".

i would like to see him gone. The problem i have is, we compare great coaching to saban. The fact is, saban is one of the best to ever coach the game. So it's an unfair expectation and always will be.

But he does some borderline retarded things though. I just don't know what to think. I guess he can stay

We didn't seem to shy away from throwing the ball when we had Flynn and Russell. For the last four years, we didn't have anybody Miles felt he could trust not to lose the game when we put it in the air. Of course, that still goes back to recruiting.

I have no problem at all with the run first philosophy; in fact, I prefer it. But if we can't hurt people throwing the ball, we'll see more games like Monday's game when we're facing the elite teams.

Monday was such a putrid offensive performance I was hoping they would just send a receiver down the field and tell one of the QB's to throw it as far as he could. Even that would have given us a better chance than anything we did. That type of thing just can't happen any more.
