I dont think he should anything. I'm requesting nothing of Miles. I dont even think LSu should fire them even though I wouldnt have miles as my coach. Im just baffled someone believes he is a top 5 coach.

i think miles has become an ego maniac thats obsessed with his own weird bullshite like eating grass and talking like an idiot.

he thought JJ was better and he couldnt possibly be wrong. whatever, you live with his balls in your mouth.

The guy is a good recruiter, nothing more. Incidentally, recruiting is the most important part of being a successful college program. Im just not sure how much of his recruiting success is due to LSU being the only real program in a very fertile state. Once Saban made it cool for La kids to go to LSU the stage was set, so Im not sure if another coach couldnt recruit like him anyway.

Yep, he's a certain ego maniac. That's obvious when you see him on tv. I mean, he rivals Bob Stoops.

If you don't like that guy, that's your business but take your bullshite to a Bama board.

You still didn't answer what I asked.

People have weird traits, every one does. Like acting like a tough guy behind a keyboard.

What should Miles do? Oh, nothing? Then quit your damn bitching.

OMG, let's fire Miles for being the best coach at LSU and bring who back?

I would LOVE to see a coach fired or punished in any way after a 13-1 season, conference title and BCSNCG appearance. Then I'd love to see a respectable coach take that job.

You didn't think very much before starting this thread huh?

like I said im not asking for anything. I know how big of a task it is to fire a HC. I just thinks its completely laughable someone called him a top 5 coach. And this is called the "rant" that inherently implies bitching.

I'm bored and presenting my obviously superior opinion so everyone doesnt think all LSu fans are dumb enough to thing Miles is a top 5 HC.

This is where you blew any fricking shred of credibility you had.

It has been 7 years since Saban was here. 7 fricking years. This program is Les Miles' program. You are still trying to give credit to Saban for it? Gtfo.

I love this belief that "anyone" can do the job miles has at lsu. It is the biggest rantard myth on steroids and when it is used, it takes away any chance of that person being taken serious.

I mean Jesus. You need some perspective. You have literally none.

So, in your superior opinion, who is a top 5 coach?

Let me guess.... Saban?

Who are the other 4?

Pick a positive subject to help your team if you
are bored. BTW, Miles is a top 5 coach if not top 3.

actually I think Saban owes some of his recruiting success to Dinardo. Without Dinardo's "bring back the magic" campaign and a few great wins, putting DV back on the map, kids in the late 90s and early 2000s dont even look at lsu, like dunn and minor.

It takes years for a program to lose or gain the goodwill continued success can build. From Dinardo, to Saban more kids were beginning to stay in state than leave. After a high school generation ( 4 years) kids see the guys they wanted to emulate staying in state and a tradition is born.

I just think MIles did more of keep that status quo than make some insane improvement in recruiting.

here's a list of coaches I view the same or equal to MIles.

a few caveats: 1. i dont like miles. this is obvious. I never liked him. I always felt like he did mess with more talent while other guys were out there doing more with less talent. He has out-talented people. He is partly responsible for the talent brought here, but i already gave my opinion on LSU being unique, in that we have the most NFL talent per capita currently and really have no other in state school to fight for kids. I think he is a motivator and a recruiter and brings very little strategically to a team.

these are all guys I think could recruit as well as miles and bring more or similar contributions to a team strategically. Unfortunately some of these guys havent been blessed with our talent, but all are quality coaches.

beamer, stoops, ferentz, dantoni, pelini, meyer, saban, beilima (SP? wisconsin), brian kelly, chip kelly, petersen, patterson, petrino, richt, mullen, spurrier

Seriously?

stoops

He's the only coach that was at OSU to be OU twice, consecutively.

quote:

meyer

You should know that record.

quote:

saban

There it is.

quote:

brian kelly

This is laughable. Chip Kelly I could see but he beat him too.

quote:

petersen

Who's team play one, two big teams at best in the entire season? Yeah, ok.....

quote:

patterson

You'll see that match up. It's a done deal. See the Boise State game this year.

quote:

petrino

This deserves the biggest WTF ever. And Miles has beaten him too. Rolled him up and smoked him this year.

quote:

richt

Another one that got smoked.

quote:

mullen

quote:

spurrier

About the only one I can't really disagree with.

You're the dictionary definition of rantard. Congrats.

Yeah man I fricking can't stand
75-18
3 SEC West titles
2 SEC Championships
2 National Title Appearances
1 National title

He is terrible.

And that list is the funniest thing I have seen in a long time. You have actually cheered me up because I haven't seen anything that hilarious in my life. Stoops? Ferentz? Beamer? Mullen? Dantoni? Pelini? And wisconsins coach?

That is truly epic

beamer brought an absolutely horrible team to the Sugar Bowl. I have no idea how he got that team to win as many games. Hes a great coach.

Stoops has NC and a few other appearances. Hes a very good consistent coach. Im sure his record is slightly worse than miles and they both have 1 NC.

I really like ferentz. state of Iowa is like 45th in talent in the NFL, yet evry 4 years Iowa is competing for the Rose Bowl. I think he does a lot with very little talent, which I think makes a good coach.

I like dantoni. His teams at MSU have done very well with mediocre talent. I have seen him out-coach guys a lot.

Pelini did a great job w the D this year, and they outplayed their talent. I think nebraska found a really good one and will be good for a while.

meyer- self explanatory. great recruiter and 2 NC. Outcoached MIles a few times althought Miles didna great job in the 4 down game.

wisconsin isnt going anywhere. I love this guys offense. He coaches the offensive line and they are always excellent. They always run the ball very well and play good fundamental ball. He will be another guy at wisc for a long time nad win continue to win.

brian kelly- kind of a hunch. I liked what he did at Cinn and think he was a good hire at ND. Their talent has been subpar for a while, and he did ok this year. I think he finally gets ND back

chip Kelly- self explanatory. His teams are excellent. Offesne which is what he controls is alwasy good. An SEC born defense with bis offesne would be amazing.

Petersen-- yea Boise doesnt play many people but he is still a really good coach. He outcoaches huys in most bog gameshe is in. excellent offense creativenes and good play caller.

Patterson-- view hom a lot like petersen. iwth real athletes would be successfil. The rose bowl last year we a excellently coached gam,e by him and wisc coach. Defese alwats outplays their talent.
petrino has a great offense. If he had our talent w/ Cheif's defense we would have beat Bama. Bama could be passsed on but our pass game sucks and JJ was missing wide open WRs. hes a dick but a good offensive coach. arkansas isnt going anywhere if he can concince kids to go there.

richt- been consistent for a long time and has outcoached miles. if talent is equal which it hasnt been for a bunch of years rcht would win.

mullen was a gut feeling. I think he is good offensive coach so if he hired good coordinator he would be successful. also he seems to be a really good recruiter. State may be ok ina few years if it didnt suck as a location.

spurrier-- self explanatory

its amazing how an ridiculously talented team and john chavis make people forget about 2 years ago, when Miles's blunders were too numerable to recount.

he has a good record, i just think we could even have a better record with a better coach.
