Ford is done at LSU and Blue is here for the long haul. Once Les makes a call on a player it's pretty much not gonna change.

How is it that Ford was awesome in HS and awesome in the spring and yet can't sniff the field during regular games? This kid is as talented as they come and either Les isn't motivating him, is not coaching him up or he is injured. Les needs to own up to what the hell is going on with Ford.

why do you feel that you deserve to be privy to inside information?

JJ wasn't sacked when Blue missed the assignment, the sack game when Jefferson escaped but was run out of bounds before he got to the line of scrimmage. It counts as a sack and it was for a loss of 2 yards.

Maybe JJ got the pass off on that busted assignment by Blue, but JJ threw the ball into the dirt because the blitzing CB that Blue was supposed to pick up blew by him, and JJ got crushed by that blitzing CB (saw it live at the game and then again on TV tonight.)
Point is, Blue Misses Blocking Assignments and fumbled on two plays already this season... Ford has not had any missed assignments in a game yet or any fumbles, because he has not played.
Oh yeah, Ford played 1 play at the end of the Vandy Game and picked up 10 on one carry right up the middle of the field... Kinda reminded me of the "Spring Game..."
And yes I do think that the Spring Game does give us an idea of how good out talent is, especially since Ford was doing it against our #1's.

maybe ford doesn't know the playbook as well, albeit the rb position is easiest to learn.

hell maybe ford signed to early and made promisses to blue and his family for playing time at the last minute. Maybe les is trying to redshirt him. who knows? I know ford was one of the best in the nation coming out of high school.

If richardson would have come here he probably would not be on the field either.

Miles is just mad at Rivals ranking and is trying to prove them wrong. Playing a 3 star over a 4 and 5 star.

Ford was redshirted last year. He was class of 2009 in high school. Blue is a true freshman meaning he was class of 2010. So that second part doesn't make much sense.

1:04 second mark.

This is the sentiment of Les Miles. Of course, if Blue develops into a great back here, which I hope, I want them to play this on the PA at Tiger Stadium after every big play that he makes.

Love all the talk about Ford getting yardage in the Spring Game. That is like complaining that Dinardo didn't give walk-on Joseph Barreca more carries in '98 after he had ~100 yards rushing in the spring game. We were thin at RB in the spring game. That Ford got the opportunity to collect yards in that game out of necessity has nothing to do with how good he is as a LSU RB.

Ford redshirted last year. Miles and company have shown that they aren't afraid to play freshman RBs if they are ready. Ford hasn't been ready to get serious playing time. HS yardage, spring game yardage in the middle of a depleted RB depth chart, and a few encouraging public words by the coaching staff does not equal a very good RB that is in the dog house. Ford had the chance to prove himself in fall practice and scrimmages, and we have plenty of evidence before the games started that he didn't look very good.

Murphy (SR): 6'1 206 lbs
Blue (FR): 6'2 207 lbs

They're similar size wise but Blue is young and is much much more physical.

How is anybody complaining about the running back situation. The backs are playing well. As much as you think you would play Ford in your NCAA dynasty it doesn't work that way. Blue obviously has beat Ford out for playing time. Perception is not reality people. Just because you think Ford is better does not mean he is. If Miles was using most of you guys logic Jai would be starting at CB while Mo would be without a scholly.

Can I get a link to that abundance of evidence? I missed that on here.

Enough on that. Les is not gonna punish Blue because he believes in Blue. Les does not believe in Ford

As much as I try to dismiss this, it appears to be the case.

I doubt you see Ford with many carries this year for the same reason you will not see Lee throw many passes this year. Miles wants no part of a player controversy. He has established Ridley/Blue as his RB rotation until Murphy comes back.

One run by Ford this year he shows great acceleration into the line. Looks like someone that would fit somewhere into a rotation.

Ford Question,
If he transfers this week, since he only played a few plays so far, does he get this year back?
Once transferred, he would have 4 years to play 3?
