Why wasn't the New Mexico game shown on mainstream TV?

The SEC Network has an additional channel. Can it happen again? Is LSU so poorly regarded? Is our communications department doing anything about this?

It was a predicted blow out vs a not very well regarded g5 school…. Doesn’t seem that hard to understand why there wouldn’t have been much interest outside of strictly LSU fans.

Slow down and ask the question again.

You mean cable. Cable networks don’t pay for the programs generated but streaming services at times. Mainly because they feel sponsors would not be interested. So essentially it wasn’t an important enough game, and if we keep winning that will change. If we don’t…it could definitely happen again.

Every team in the SEC gets one game a year on SECN+/ESPN+. It doesn't matter how good a team is or how well they are performing. Even UGA and Bama gave their one game a year on streaming only.

Not very long ago this game would have been radio only. We now have access to every game on TV. I don’t understand your question

It will 100% happen again, every year. Again, it's part of the SEC-ESPN contract.

LSU could repeat 2019 again, they are playing 1 game on SECN+/ESPN+

Would you watch New Mexico against any other SEC school?

There’s your answer

And since it was at LSU. It would have been presented on glorious Tigervision for 29.95 per game. Call your cable or satellite provider about Tigervision. Or you could watch it if you like scrambled TV channels. The young ones have no idea what that was like in the days before digital cable.

Hard to believe some people are too cheap to pay for ESPN+.

Nah, wasn’t it women’s appreciation game or something? You would’ve though the media would eat that up. Or maybe it’s offensive bc you’re assuming gender?

Oh, nvm

It’s time to write a stern letter to the manager!
