Oregon State had supposedly the best pitching staff in the country but LSU hit them. Couldn't hit Florida. Why?

Someone on the team either did or did not do the right thing with their hair. And then there was that damn cup Florida had.

Singer > Rasmussen & Fehmel

We hit a few good balls on Dyson that on a normal night wouldve either left the park or been extra base hits.

Oregon State didn't know how to deal with the pressure. Once we made it a game, they fell apart.

LSU out hit Florida in game one and had 8 hits last night. That wasn't the problem.

TDAP needs a retractable roof for windy nights.

It was really only a few guys who carried the offense vs OSU. Pap, Watson, Beau.

Then those 3 cooled off against florida and no one picked up the slack

This is pretty much it. Singer is being talked about as a potential number 1 overall pick next year. Then Dyson pitched the game of his life.

This...because the rest had been slacking the whole world series

Dumb mistakes were the biggest difference

Florida has easily the best pitching in the country. The starters are unreal.

Oregon St may have had the best ERA but that wasn't the best pitching staff in the country. Especially without Heimlich

We had 17 hits in two games. Thats more than enough. No timely hitting, not being able to bunt & a couple base running mistakes killed us

Every Florida pitcher that we faced threw 94mph+ and had quality sliders. Don't let inflated PAC12 pitching stats fool you; OSU's pitching doesn't hold a candle to Florida's pitching

The bunting problem seems to come up every year.

It also helped his outcome that the wind was blowing in.

3 consecutive fourth inning walks were the difference in the series. Not hits, not the interference call, not whether or not your momma wore the right panties. 3....consecutive...walks.

Great pitching always beats great hitting.

LSU was able to beat Oregon State because they scored more runs than they did in each of the two games they played on Friday and Saturday. Conversely, they were not able to beat Florida in the two games played because they not score as many runs as Florida in the two games they played. That is your answer.
