Whatever you say, loser.

My original point struck a nerve, so you had to flame.
Posted on 11/26/15 at 11:59 pm to ballscaster

Blind? Lsu is favored over texas a&m and will probably be favored over their now game participant.
I won't apologize for thinking lsu could win out and finish ranked in the top 20.

The entire sports world outside of Lsu is ok with Lsu being mediocre.
In no way has Miles tenure at lsu been mediocre. The last 3 seasons haven't been close to mediocre either.

They've all seen our potential and would love miles to stay here.
Potential? Who was the coach that showed all this potential? I mean we had the best cfb coach of our generation and he lost less than 3 games 1 time.

If LSU decides to get rid of Les Miles, Arkansas might as well keep the Boot. Forever.

It's obviously a risk they are willing to take. I mean, the coach rumored to replace him is 67-13 in the past 5 seasons, instead of 59-18 that Miles has posted, winning an NC and making a playoff final while Miles lost an NC game. If Fisher is the new coach then the risk is minimized, and it seems like a good decision. If Fisher isn't the new coach, then letting Miles go will probably be a bad decision.

$16million, huh? The criticism is 100% fair. The people saying that this is stupid are pretty much right.

Why would we worry about what media says is good for us?
Exactly! Unless they will just miss the fact they can make fun of his bone-headed clock management issues or his strange use of the English language! Can you say Ar-kansas or say we have a want to win?

Perhaps, but if it felt like the offense and defense was making progress, then maybe it would be different. The problem is that we've had the same problems for the last 7 years, and there doesn't seem like there has been much progress at all. While the buyout seems unreasonable, if it isn't our money, then why should we care what the number is at all?
It's not like the national media is making particularly cogent points or acknowledging the realities that led Miles to this particular point. They are simply criticizing firing a coach who has been the most successful coach in LSU history. While that argument is true, it also lacks a significant amount of context, as we all know that we've underperformed relative to our recruiting performance. Conversely, it seems the fact that Miles flirted with Michigan twice and Arkansas once in order to secure job security means little. The reality is that Miles is in this position because of his own actions. No one wanted it to be this way.

I hate losing to Ark and Bama to but Ark has improved but not enough to beat us. The main sticking point is since 2012 we have gone 0-5 vs Alabama that way the board members want Les out.
