And spare me the “playing out of position”.

I don’t give a shite if he has to play at safety, cornerback, nickleback, linebacker, or nose guard. He is the best player on defense and needs to be on the field. Gameplan to have him on the field and not watching from the sideline on key drives.

I hated how often they had him in coverage. He needs to be chasing the QB at all times.

He is Playing out of position. Seriously though teams are taking him out by scheme. I would stick him at spy so he can run side line to side line.

When you have a spy, that’s one less guy in coverage or rushing.

He was dinged up for a moment. Not sure why he wasn't more involved in the pass rush.

they were running heavy sets with a fullback for most of the game and just running right at us. Our defensive line was getting no push up front. Hell, they only attempted 18 passes and ran the ball 50 times. That doesn't leave a lot of room for him to do what he's good at...rushing the passer. For an OLB whose specialty is getting into the backfield and rushing the QB, that's kind of neutralized when they're running off tackle all game with a fullback and 1-2 tight ends. They took Perkins out of the game by running the ball so effectively and our DL not doing anything to stop it or slow it down. And they very rarely were even in 3rd down passing situations. It was 3rd and short all night long

The play where we rushed 4, didn’t spy, and dropped 7 into coverage sucked.

3rd and 12 and the Qb scrambles for 13.

They scored a few plays later to go up 17-10.

He is not helping us in the run game. When they run it 50 times, it might be better for others to be in there

This is what UGA will do, so they better figure it out.

How many times did A&M throw the ball?

100%

People made a post earlier in the week how do you slow down or take Perkins out of the game and A&M did it brilliantly

Look for uga to have the same game plan

He also appeared to be hurt. He came up limping after a missed sack on a third down conversion. I think they were trying to save him.

This is what we did in 2012 against South Carolina’s Clowney. We ran right at him and That was Jeremy Hill’s coming out game.

As good as he is, he isn't really a run stuffer. They ran the ball a lot and that's how you neutralize a great pass rusher.

You know how the coaches keep saying he doesn’t know how to play the position fully yet? It’s because he isn’t great in run support. He plays off of instincts which isn’t always the best way to defend the run. Baskerville has this same issues at times. He is a disruption in the pass game and an absolute great one but A&M was able to neutralize him by sticking to the run game.

He needed to spy A&M qb more and better. He had way to many scramble yards. Some were due to Hp40 aggressive rush.

Achane is too good for Perkins to do some of the things he did to other teams. When on edge he likes to cut inside, beat his guy and make the tackle on the guy going outside. Achane destroyed us when he did that. They kept putting guys in motion to force him to cover.

Someone brought up the big runs by qb. Perkins on at least one and maybe both was the outside rusher. Trying to do like he did against Arkansas. Problem was there was no one in the middle to stop qb from stepping up. On one Roy and the other dt both ended up on the defense right side in rush p the middle. Perkins was outside left trying to go around tackle. Left a huge hole. LSU was in man coverage

Considering that Georgia QB is a threat to run EVERY time he drops back to pass and has wheels I would say Perkins will/could be a difference maker on defense this Sat. +1

I am sorry but Baskerville looks slow and Penn looks lost. Putting in Perkins can't be worse than them on run stoppage.

It’s hard to do that in the 3–3-5 which we run. Makes bj go into coverage which isn’t ideal. I wish we mixed it up more and had him coming off the edge a little more than we did
