here's why

No. Harris is worse by a lot.

Harris has had plenty of chances to show what he can do. He is not the answer.

So has Etling. He didn't just get this bad. At some point you have to realize he's just not good. He sucked at Purdue and choked against Auburn and Bama.

No one is stopping him from transferring. You do realize that Hurts was shut down for most of the game as well except for one broken play? I guess Saban should have pulled him.
Hurts wasn't missing wide open receivers

And since you like gifs so much, here's one in that same game.
Who do you think threw this INT in the game?

No use arguing with ppl who don't know anything. Everytime we lose a game the morons say change the qb everytime.

Why not Harris --- Simple because they watched him play all last year and two+ games this year.

Your reasoning is not flawed, however the consensus is that Bamas DL was beating our OL so bad it wouldn't have made any difference. Plus Miles made him a head case, he is ruined, Forever

Good news is we won't have to put up with Etling's awful play for much longer. If this is O's "guy", then they can go together.
I've been 1 of O's biggest supporters, but if he set on this offense I'll keep my vote of confidence jump on the all-in for Herman ship. He has to know Pro-Style won't get us past a Saban run team. No team has done it. Only teams to beat Saban are QB's who are use in the running game.

BH is not playing because he is an inaccurate passer and has trouble reading a defense. Tries to Run when he should throw and throws when he should run.
He couldn't hit blue on Boise State's field.

Dude, our O line was terrible. It didn't matter who we had at QB. Harris is Terrible. Do you know anything about football?

Agree with everything you said.

Because he has turned into a Practice player.
Time to move on.

Won't say he choked against Auburn, Miles screwed the pooch in that one with his idiot clock managing. Etling made a great throw at the for the win, but...

Ok, if everyone is so dead-set against trying our Jr QB who's faster than Etling, then what about one of the freshmen? Maybe one of them is more mobile than Etling, might be able to run a bootleg or roll out to the edge.
We're not saying the QB is a better runner than Fournette or Guice (meaning he should be at RB instead), the point is that a mobile QB forces the defense to cover some other player running the ball.
Our first series showed us exactly what would happen all night, their defensive line overwhelmed our O line. Fournette stuffed for a loss, Etling sacked, FG blocked.
We probably couldn't run Chark on the jet sweep because their end would be 5 yds into the backfield and cut him off too.
That never changed, we never got any push or even resisted them from pushing us in all night.
What's to lose, by trying a few designed QB sprintouts to the edge?
People who say Harris can't run are nuts. Take the play we all hate- the late INT vs Wisconsin. Same issue, the O-line whiffed on the blocking, and Harris should have been sacked for a 10 yd loss. He made a brilliant athletic play to avoid the sack (and then threw a blind pass for the clinching INT, I know).
So- put him out there, and tell him not to pass unless the WR is open by 20 yds (and he won't be). And tell him to take off and scramble for whatever he can, if he's pressured (and he would be).
Who knows, maybe he scrambles a couple of times, picks up some first downs. Alabama adjusts by backing off a little to contain him, Fournette gets some room as a result.
It was WORTH A TRY. Because unless we could get a defensive or special teams score, we weren't ever going to put anything on the board, the way things were going.
