It was clear that the moment was a little big for Danny last night. After 3 quarters and no offense, I think he should have put Harris in at least for a series to see if he could have been a little more effective. He would have been more of a run threat and Bama's line and linebackers would have had to give some respect to that instead of teeing off directly on the backs and QB....Good coaches make changes during games..Saban pulled Barnett, Muschamp pulled his veteran QB for the freshman who has been lighting it up....If your not going to at least try and use the talent you have...if Harris is never going to see the field again.....then let him transfer.

No one is stopping him from transferring. You do realize that Hurts was shut down for most of the game as well except for one broken play? I guess Saban should have pulled him.

This is always hilarious saying BH is a run threat. He is neither a run nor pass threat.

He has not proven himself to be a good runner but he does have a stronger arm and has proven to throw a better deep ball than DE. That said I think DE is the better QB. However, it probably would have been a good idea to give BH a couple of series in the second half we were not moving the ball---IF we had prepared him during the 2 weeks we had.

Bottom line is neither QB was likely to be effective. One has accuracy problems & poor composure, one does not possess good arm strength and for some reason did not show good composure in this game and had accuracy problems also. You need an effective QB to beat Bama, no way you run your way to victory. It will be pass first when that becomes effective then you can run.

So because he throws a better deep ball we would win the game? We would have literally ran the same exact offense that Miles just got fired for if that would have happened. Pound the rock into a brick wall and throw 40 yard bombs and pray to god we get lucky. No thank you. BH had his shot and blew it. Etling deserved the start and still deserves the start this weekend

Our problem wasn't QB play but rather O Line play. Harris is probably grateful he didn't play

I 100% agree Etling is the better QB, but it's nonsense to say Harris isn't a run threat. He may prefer passing from the pocket, but he had plenty of rollouts and bootlegs where he got to the edge VERY quickly, outrunning edge rushers to do so.

Given that Alabama has great pashrushers, and given that Etling has shown a tendency to get hit hard a couple times a game from even weaker defenses, it would have been stupid to NOT prepare him.

Harris is a junior and a former starter. You can't save him for later, so he needs to be ready.

You have to be able to take advantage of anything you have in the arsenal; in a tied game in the 4th quarter, when your offense is still sitting at 100 yds total for the game, you need to be open to any option. The game was there for the taking, if you make the right move. Not saying we would win or Harris would work out, but he was worth a try for a series.

He actually throws a beautiful deep ball. If he hasn't been an issue off the field, i think he should have gotten a shot

On the few plays ettling wasnt getting hit, he missed some very easy throws

Because when something doesnt work, you keep trying it and hope it suddenly does start working. It is just crazy to try somthing new.

Bash Brandon as much as you want. He defiantly has a better deep ball and maybe he could have hit one in the 4th. Danny was shook up bad, after the throw at Malachi's feet I was hoping they would bring Brandon in for a seriesZ

Harris is an interception machine. LSU was in the game until late in the 4th quarter. LSU would have been out of the game immediately if Harris came in.

Agree 100%, not saying pull Etling the rest of the game, but at least give BH a series or two, if he provides no spark or points, you go back to Etling. THis game was oh so familiar to the NCG in 12. CEO should have absolutely tried another QB for a spark. BTW naysayers he put up 16 pts last year on the gumps, i'm sure you've forgotten. In light of our offensive ineptness you at the very least try something else to gain victory.
