I read all of your post and enjoyed it. You are spot on. For those that have no long term perspective, they will have no clue and will flame away.

I read it... Unfortunately

So you think we will stay on top longer because we aren't as good as Bama now?

I really do wish I was a winner like you. It really does suck watching you do it better than me.

I appreciate and respect everyone’s opinions; even though some are misinformed. I understand that a cloud of negativity consumes a fan base following a tough rival loss. No matter what I say, or how I say it – people have given up on LSU football this year, and will ignore the truth. It’s unfortunate – but hopefully I can help a few of you ‘negatigers’ see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Yes – Bama has dominated football for the last 4 years. It appears as if the Crimson Tide will win the next 20 championships. What I am telling you is that this will not happen. In fact, the opposite will happen. Bama’s ceiling is one or two more championships under Saban - BEST CASE. Once we see the Saban regime crumble, it will be devastating to a fan base so accustomed to winning. For you history buffs – we’re talking Germany reconstruction post World War II. Saban has already publically expressed the undying pressure he’s experiencing each season – it’s no longer fun to win for him, because he is always thinking about the day he starts losing. The process is the fun part to Saban – lifting a program from the dumps like Alabama and making it a powerhouse.

Do NOT be surprised if Auburn or Florida State beat Alabama this year and we see the genesis of a truly dramatic decline.
As soon as this happens, LSU will reap the benefits in a big way. Our biggest competition will be the rising Florida State. That team is a few key components away from making an Alabama type dynasty in the near future.

Your point is well taken. As badly as the defense has played this year, if LSU had better young players, or at least better potential, they would be playing them regularly. With few exceptions they are not. Based on this I expect a poor defense next year as D linemen do not typically start as freshmen and most of our young linebackers are not playing.

thats the point, pumper.

That's potentially 6 championships in less than a decade.

I'm not a "negatiger" and I haven't given up on LSU football.

AGREED. Nice post. We've had some critical turnovers in the last two seasons. Not making excuses but a few lost turnovers does not make us any lesser of a program. Congrats to bama, but we're still a top 3/4 program. Go Tigers.

Great post Time. Those who wrote that they didn't read probably can't anyway. Truly a breath of fresh air to see a post where the poster implemented some cognitive thinking. The one's who flame on this post have some serious shortcomings or insecurities in life that they need to deal with. You come back more often please.
