He's ready for a move to a mid-major D1, that's for sure. There's gotta be a step between LSUA and a power 5 job.

That being said, there should be a ton of power 5 openings, which when filled will leave a lot of mid majors open. This should be the year he makes his first move.

They would lose by 40. Dude they don't even compete in the NCAA. And the NCAA has 3 divisions. They compete in the NAIA.

MAYBE a job like Nicholls or Grambling. He's not even qualified for Tulane, ULL, or Tech

NAIA not necessarily sub-D3, just a different organization altogether. A lot of the better NAIA teams are equivalent to good D-II's. Larry won't get a big name job this year, but there's no way he should take a D-II job either.

Peabody would probably beat half their opponents. Maybe he can follow McConathy at NW ST. Mac's first job IIRC was Bossier CC.

I think he's somewhere in between, but that's just my opinion. Also will be interesting to see who LSU hires as HC and if Larry would be willing to serve in an associate HC type role. That may be a more direct route to where he wants to get.

He is great at starting from scratch. Badically what he would be doing at LSU.

Larry is great at building relationships and getting players to want to play hard for him. I also think he has a cloning machine because he manages to be everywhere. He won't be LSU's next coach, but he's doing well enough that he should get a Div I job eventually.

Cordaro would be a good pickup as an assistant to whoever they hire for the head coaching job.

Nobody hires an NAIA coach for an SEC job. That's apples and watermelons.

This is not his next job. He was a grad assistant at lsu under Brady though. He needs a mid major or low d1 job before this step. LC is my guy but this isn't the next stop

They compete in NAIA because they did not want to compete in NCAA DIII where you couldn't give scholarships. That said they are in the top tier NAIA, ran the table on the season, and are going to their national tourney as the #1 team in the country. I don't think anyone else in the state is doing that at any level.

It would be a complete Alleva move to talk to a few established D-1 coaches then rush to the podium next week with a freaking NAIA coach!

He might be doing good things at LSUA, but you don't make the jump from NAIA HC to SEC HC. If Alleva were to make that move he should be fired in the spot. That would make his hires to improve the program from (in order): Stanford -- North TX -- LSUA. Based on that trend, Alleva's next hire would be the coach at Glasgow Middle School
