Seems like an SEC slugfest between #6 & #8 would be a much better game, rather than a B10 matchup of #12 and #7.

Unless they're going purely on rivalry. State vs. Univ.

And it's been a long time since Michigan has been relevant.

I thought they'd pick LSU because them going to michigan for the OSU game seems like a lock.

They will have a much bigger crowd than LSU would have.

It's an event there. It's a distraction from tailgating here.

If that happens ESPN has a ton of places to go that day. There are some really good games that day.

Also could have gone to Bama @ A&M. I guess they figured they would catch the LSU/Bama game later in the year, so Mich. was the choice.

Who cares though. I'm just glad there are some really good match ups this week

Michigan is the hottest story right now. And Mich St has been one of the dominant teams in the big 10 since the fall of Mich.

And they have shut out their last three opponents and they have Harbough

Plus nobody thought this would be a meaningful game at the beginning of the season.

Gameday has already been to 2 bama games this year and will probably do a third (when LSU plays them). #nolove

Only if Michigan wins on Saturday.

I think it's the right call though. Michigan has three straight shutouts, outscoring opponents 87-0 . That's historic.

Being that Gameday has already done two Bama games this year, maybe the LSU/A&M game??

I wonder if the SEC Network is going to screw some SEC venues out of Gameday because ESPN/ABC probably figure they can just send an SECN crew there and have the best of both worlds if there is a big non-SEC game on ABC/ESPN. This will certainly be the case when CBS has the premier SEC game, but here it's a close call.
