they were easy to hate in the early 90's too.

basically if you don't hate tamu then you don't know enough about them.

Yep, the year before they joined the conference I had a UT fan as a roommate. I always told him I liked A&M more and that UT just screamed obnoxious. I simply hadn't met any A&M fans though. My stance quickly changed after they joined the conference

Maybe because LSU is the only team they couldn't beat with Manzeil ?

You can't tease us with the constant "STTDB" and expect not to pique our interest. We hear dicks and we coming running.

All my friends that are Longhorns were happy to get rid of them and warned me numerous times. I can't tell you how many times I heard "If you don't hate them now, you will soon".

I think that is part of it...and keep in mind that LSU was a major state university when A&M was a cow college in the middle of nowhere...

aggie seems more focused on us AND our game this weekend than Missouri... wishing LSU to fail, or failing, in Fayetteville will be meaningless if aggie cannot beat Missouri.

aggie ought to get their house in order before trolling LSU.

Because like Hogs, any time LSU beats them we just got lucky and they deserve better because it's not fair.

Irony.

Why is A&M so obsessed with LSU?

LSU is now Texas A&M's big brother. The Little Brother Aggies are pissed off that LSU cares more about beating Bama, Ole Miss, Florida, and Auburn. At best the little brother Aggies are LSU's 5th most hated rival.

Or should we expect them to revise their fight song to something that is entirely about LSU in the near future?
Maybe we could write a verse for them--STTDB in lieu of "saw varsity's horns off." What would the assembled Aggies do instead of swaying side to side?

LSU and A&M used to be a BIG rivalry....just like LSU and Ole Miss back in the day. Give it some time...it will come back.

This all day long. I hated those guys back in the 80s and they hated us. Football and baseball games were pretty hostile

It goes back way further. LSU and A&M used to play regularly in the 40s and 60s and 70s.They played every year from 1960 to 1975. This was the longest consecutive games played in the series history. LSU went 12–3–1. My Dad tells me that one year, the LA State Patrol wrote traffic tickets to every car w/ Texas plates headed back to Texas. The next year, the Texas Patrol returned the favor. I think this may have been in the 50s as almost all the games were played in BR. They actually played one game in Beaumont and one in Galveston in 1916 and 1917. Good times.

Because they are so butt hurt that we have destroyed them over the last 2 years on top of leading the series between the 2 teams. Who really cares what they are saying, all we need to do is play to our capabilities and the rest will be history.

I hope they do for their sake. "So long to the purple and the go-oh-old" flows pretty well, but I don't see how they'll ever change the first line to "so long, to Louisiana State University" and keep the rhythm the same.

It's probably been mentioned already but A&M has to be someone's little brother. We might as well fill that big brother role.

A&M has not beat the Tigers in football since they joined the SEC!

LSU vs A&M has a great history. But, it really heated up because LSU used to beat A&M on a regular basis and in the 90's LSU was bad real bad and LSU cancelled a 4 game series with A&M. Until A&M joined the SEC the AD from A&M would not schedule LSU anymore.
