What bothers me the most is that it was not fair to give Harris the nod, on the road, against an Auburn team that we have beaten for 4 straight seasons prior. Auburn is an exceptionally difficult place to play.

Whoever thinks les didn't know that experiment was going to fail before he got on the bus is very naive. It almost felt like he did it our of spite, just to shut harris and the fans up.

And to the poster who said this season has been more miserable than the 2008 season is absolutely right. That is because we all knew deep down that it was a lose-lose situation with Lee and Jefferson. we have an all-american qb riding the pine because he's done a little whining. Last I checked, the team with the longest winning streak in college football is starting an alleged rapist and thief who is obnoxious. that doesn't deter Fisher from starting Winston, because Fisher wants to win more than prove a point to a 19-year-old.

To the poster who said we run a pro system, do you watch good passing offenses in the NFL? They do a lot of things we don't normally try to do much or at all. Things like:

-multiple receiver sets to spread the defense out and force the defense to commit an extra player or two to coverage.
-good use of the short passing game and short drops/quick releases to negate/burn the blitz.
-RB screens, use of the TE, crossing routes, hitch routes, hook/comeback routes, exploiting the middle of the field.
-Getting playmakers the ball in space in the short passing game to get yards after the catch.

What we do is line up in run formations to throw the ball on 3rd and long, playing max protect because of the blitzing and sending few guys out in routes. And asking Jennings to be successful passing in that situation.

I heard on 104.5 ESPN BR today that Jennings ran out of the pistol in high school. Why is the pistol not used more heavily today? It did lead LSU to the 2007 BCSNC.

Because it is more similar to the spread, I don't see why Harris could not be more effective in it as well. Spread out the defense and attack.

So which Pro teams are using this innovative style that Miles is so famous for?

San Francisco uses this style. Not that I'm for it with LSU.

It was very strange the way the Auburn week was handled.

Why was Harris named on Monday? Gave Auburn all week to prepare. Should have been a game time announcement.

Patch Why Harris Failed in the Auburn Game - and Why He Will Fail Now I'm sorry but we were a passing team last year, and pretty damn good at it to.

Because Mett played within the system and learned it and fit within it. That is my point.

I am not saying that running the football is bad. Also, we do throw the ball - some. I am talking about Miles' offense and how the QB has to fit to him and not him adapt to the QB or the actual talent/experience that we have.
