seem to want to play for LSU lately? I know there are some solid players coming in next year, but really no one that's expected to set the world on fire. Why is it Calipari can get seemingly anyone he wants to come play for him? Is this just a facilities thing?

Yeah, but while Bertman was winning all those games in the 90's, Jackson, and Shaq were playing up the street in the DEAF DOME. It's definitely not a priority thing, well at least it used to not be.

They don't market well and they aren't winning right now. If they start winning fans will come and recruiting will pick up. The new facility should help. In the last decade we've gotten some big names. Hopefully that 2012 class is kind to us.

I hope so. LSU basketball is what really sealed the deal for me growing up to becoming a Tiger fan. My first game I ever watched in person was a Shaq led LSU squad against Auburn in the PMAC. He was a man amongst boys out there, he had 11 blocks in that game.

Obciously, we can't pay recruits more than Calipari can to come here. How long til UK gets crushed by the NCAA again? 3 years...tops.

College coaches get in on these guys starting in middle school. Just like the NBA knows all the 15 year old phenoms out there, CBB coaches know them from 12-13 years old. Brady was a piece of shite and was handed 50% of the elite talent he had at LSU.

That will change, but it takes time.

How old was Shaq when Dale met him in Germany?

Most high school basketball players weren't alive then.

any year that the basketball team is making a solid run, their avg attendance is higher than the baseball team. basketball will bring fans if the team is good. look at the last Laval year, baseball attendance wasn't that great. Everyone loves a winner

They don't know anything about LSU having an atmosphere or consistent success as a basketball program so Texas, UCONN, Memp, Fla, UK, etc. have a distinct advantage.
