If you have a Roku, watch some other games that come on the ESPN app... like yesterday when I saw top 25 St. Johns, top 25 Missouri State, and Miami FL play on there
That's how different the SEC West is in particular compared to the rest of the country

Because Alabama is bad at college baseball

Because very few people outside of Baton Rouge care a whole lot, frankly.

I'm an LSU grad and couldn't give 2 shits about the LSU Baseball team personally. Or any other college baseball team.

In terms of national interest, college baseball falls somewhere below the national kindergarten double-dutch tournament and above the WNBA. Without the interest, they can't sell ads, and without ads they won't show it.
Keep in mind that outside of relatively small pockets of typically fairly low population areas, college baseball isn't particularly popular. In major areas you've usually got an MLB team or maybe even a solid established AAA team that the area's baseball fans are going to follow. Hell, even in the popular areas its a handful of schools that are popular enough to turn a profit with their baseball program alone. Step outside of the LSU-area bubble and you'll see that college baseball is an afterthought to most.

But wait until the NCAA tournament starts. Then they will start showing highlights because all of a sudden they care once they start showing the games on ESPN and ESPN 2

No question, an example from my experience....
a few weeks after LSU's last CWS championship my wife and I were at Wrigley for a couple of Cub games. I had my LSU gear.
Two different folks came up to me, one from Alabama and the other from Tennessee and they had a vague notion that LSU was good at baseball because each asked me how we did in baseball that year.
"Well, we won the national title" I said. They had no idea and these were supposedly folks I would think liked baseball and were from states that had SEC schools.
Given that you could reasonably conclude the relative lack of awareness and interest in the rest of the country.

Only time I see College baseball highlights are on ESPNU and SECN. Robertson's catch in the 9th would have been Top 10 if the game was on TV.

Because outside of a small area in the south nobody gives a shite about college baseball.

Because outside of a few Southern states nobody really cares.

ESPN hates college baseball

During the regular season, you'll find links to little league, WNBA and cricket, but absolutely nothing on college baseball. I always found it odd too.

this. Southeastern from Hammond, America would be 3rd in the Big Ten for attendance. They would be 7th in the Pac 12, 8th in the Big XII, and 9th in the ACC
only one program outside the SEC has a higher attendance average than the Vermilion and Cream...

Not directed at you rebel (i had to pick someone to reply to) but maybe some of you dumbass "but but baseball is way more important than mens hoops" idiots can get a reality check on that. Just wait until wade has us playing for championships in the next 3-5 years, and your gonna find out the pecking order at LSU among the sports teams. Just like back in the dale days!!!

All baseball highlights look the same if that makes sense
Posted on 5/20/17 at 12:57 pm to LSUstephen17
When you have the NBA playoffs, MLB heating up and the NFL draft aftermath, college baseball just isn't very sexy to them.

Because it's not politically correct!

It WAS a great sport before the change to noodle bats.
The new bat/ball combo is fine. There are still plenty of HRs being hit. There's nothing wrong with having to earn a HR and not having poorly hit fly balls carry out.
