This is the same "genius" that...

- started Josh Booty over Rohan Davey
- started LaBrandon Toefield over Domanick Davis
- gave up a bowl-losing bomb to IOWA!?!
- lost to UAB at HOME!?!
- got waxed in the Sugar Bowl by UTAH?!?
- picked Culpepper over Brees

The guy is a joke.

Saban motivates through fear. Miles motivates like a good father.

One gets you to play consisently at your potential, the other makes you realize your potential and then encourages you to surpass it.

Davis had a two good years in the NFL, but Toefield was by far a better back LSU. The rest I agree with.

You forgot the most important one... Back to back Matt Jones bombs to cost LSU the west and the SEC championship game appearance in 2002.

I said before the game we would win because of the coaching not the talent. I also said tide fans would be mad at Sabin after this game.

Davis didn't get his fair chance at LSU. Saban is in love with the big back, and always used Davis as a 3rd down back. When he finally got his chance (only after Toefield was injured prior to the Sugar Bowl vs. Illinois and Saban had no other options), Davis blew up....and went on to the much better NFL career.

Saban did not evaluate his talent properly...one of his many faults.

Davis had 3 great years in the NFL when he was all the Texans had.

Toefield was a great back when healthy. Remember him outrunning the Tenn secondary on a 75 yd TD run?

No doubt Saban isn't perfect, but he is one of the best in the biz, period.....

Actually 2002 was Hookfin's senior year which he made 2nd all sec at CB. He was burned in 2001, but redeemed himself his last year
