... frick all this spell one way and pronounce another ... if you wanna pronounce it Jerrdun , then spell it that way .. I say screw local bastardization of rules of grammar and spelling pronunciations !

Because that's how his family said it. Personally, I don't give a shite, because Alex is short for Alexander and should always be pronounced "AL-eks."

I don't give a damn what some old family custom says about how you pronounce someones name

You sound like an idiot.

You can spell your name GeauxGus and pronounce it Cocksucker for all you want. Because it's your name and you set the rules on it.

Alex Box's name is pronounced Alec Box.

Blex Bregman's name is not pronounced Alec Bregman.

Devery Henderson's name is not pronounced Jack Hunt.

You're going to love listening to Astros late night games, then.

Jer-din or Jur-din. That's how I've alays heard Shug Jordan's last name pronounced.

Any Auburn fans here that can set the record straight?

MACKNEESE STATE

That's actually how McNeese State is "officially" pronounced.

LINK

The argument was settled in two ways: first, McNeese's son-in-law, L.L. Squires, wrote in his biography of McNeese that his nickname was "Mack." Secondly, this author visited descendants living in Mississippi, North Carolina, and Virginia and was told that the correct pronunciation is, indeed, "Mack" Neese.

Why do you spell Jim Hawthorne's name "Hawthorn"?

so hawthrorne tries to say "Alex" but the family infulence/area of the country he was raised in makes "Ellic" come out? Amazing.

No more so than when people in this area try to say "this" or "that" and it comes out "dis" or "dat".

What does he say when someone "sacks" the QB?

Depends on whose QB is being sacked. If it is LSU's, I say "damn!" if it is the other team's, I say"Yeah!!".
