I am just being realistic. I think people said the same before Florida and you see how that turned out. If we were able to run the ball, not against Tulane, that I would be more optimistic. I am thinking it will be another low scoring contest. JJ will have to play mistake free in order to win, especially if we have no running game.

I think people on this board have actually been pretty positive about the game.

Don't think anyone says it's impossible. Bama is good. Period. End of story. If you think otherwise, then you don't watch college football.

I just choose not to look like a homer. I want LSU to win, but I also am realistic/objective when it comes to the match-up.

Wrong year dude. You can't judge this year by what happened in past years.

But, it is possible to beat Alabama. It will take no mistakes by offense and a special teams or defensive TD.

we can win, i just wonder how we are going to manufacture points. And I know Bama has trouble scoring as well.

bama will be bringing tremendous pressure on JJ. how will he get passes off even if they are called? We can't rush either.

we will need a well-coached and called offensive game and a really big performance from the QB.

OUr defense will play well and should keep us in it.

Not defending them, but you know its 2009, right?
Not the same team. We have a very good chance to win, but this is not a weak team. I can understand why Vegas has us -9. If this were two teams from the WAC with everything statistically similar , who would you choose?

Cuz we'll believe it when we see it. LSU O came up as small as a mouse agin UF. Until they do something otherwise against a top D no one will believe that LSU can win such a game.

if you are saying LSU has no chance then you are not being realistic.

but what does it matter, you are always negative about the tigers.

I think we have a 30% chance of winning. I think our defense will bring the intensity and hold Ingram/Julio in check. Hawkins/Jai v. Maze plus whether we get pressure on McElroy will be the key.

On the offensive side of the ball, Jefferson will have to throw well for us to win. We need 2 or 3 good offensive drives for 13-21 points. We may need a special teams or defensive score.

LSU wins 7 219 total score ppg. 24.33
Bama wins 2 174 total score ppg. 19.33

By this says LSU has more than a chance of winning. I say they have more than 60% chance of winning. I say add ten points to the LSU's average and give Bama 7 points less and you will come close to what the score will be.

I say LSU 34 Bama 27

I thought we would lose to UF by 10. I think we will give Bama all they can handle. Our Offense has improved enough to test Bama and our Defense has improved enough to shut Bama down. This game may come down to special teams and long field goals. I like our chances.

Hey noonan....Whenever you bring me some facts showing WHY I should believe the Tigers will win then I say they won't. And, no, I do not think they have NO CHANCE. I think there is always a chance. That is actually why they play the games. I just happen to think they won't. Alabama has been off for 2 weeks and will be rested and prepared. I do think if we get off to a quick start then we can stay close. But I think Bama wins. They have the better defense and the better running game. That's not negativity, that's reality.
