No we don't.

ETA: But I don't think it matters at this point anyway. He will be fired and Alleva will conduct a pathetic excuse for a search and hope to be bailed out.

We only had one conference loss when Miles was fired, there was still something to salvage on the season. There's nothing to salvage here. Just let the season end and let him walk. Luckily the Pelicans might be able to sate a basketball fix with the Cousins trade.

Joe Alleva said he fired Miles because of the it was better for the players. I don't really see how this situation is much different. The locker room for this team has to be terrible.

Name an assistant who would do better. This team does not do a single thing right. The entire staff has done a terrible job this year.

Because he instills a culture of losing.

Which is pretty unacceptable and needs to be removed.

Would letting an assistant get head coach experience be a bad thing?

Everyone knows Jones doesn't listen to anything his assistants suggest. Randy Livingston has won the only league he's ever coached in which is more than Jones has ever done. And the reason they don't do anything right is because they have no coach. Who's responsibility is it to teach them fundamentals? Who's job is it to motivate them? Who comes up with the game plans? Who makes the adjustments during games? Who decides how to approach situational basketball?

Learning more by the minute of what kind of poster you are. Spell his name wrong, I don't care, but you are a trolling douche.

So tell me, what do you think an assistant coach does?

The ignorance of this board when it comes to the buyout is amazing. Currently, as head coach, JJ is paid $125k per month. As soon as he is fired, that amount is reduced to $33.33k per month and will end on 6/30/19. There is no money being saved by not firing him. If he is fired on March 31 instead of February 28, JJ will earn an extra $92k.

Lmao you re posted it and still don't get it. Our assistants coach in practices not in games. Jones doesn't allow it. He doesn't even allow input during games. Wait you actually think assistants do everything I mentioned? Lmao

What evidence have you seen that anyone on this staff has coached at all this year?

It's a quick cure for what ails them.

And for those who don't trust Alleva/King to do what needs to be done it takes that question off the table.

Of course they've all coached this year that's a stupid question. Have they been good no they havnt. But Jones is known, like Brown for not allowing his assistants any input during games. Suggesting that it's our assistants responsibility to account for game plan, fundamentals, adjustments and situational decisions is just ignorant. And you wanted to know which assistant could do better? Randy Livingston would do better. He's coached an NBA d-league championship team and has about as high a basketball IQ as there is.

I asked for evidence and you still have not given any. There is not a single aspect of the team where you can say at least they are ok at doing ____. Top to bottom this staff has done nothing this year.
