I watched Cecil Collins' highlights a few months ago and he was great, but he was stopped, too. He only played 3 games. What makes him better than Hill?

I do not see it.

I don't think many think that? I don't!! Mayb talent or ability but that never happened so..... No he's not better IMO as an LSU back.

He also had negative runs and was stopped for no gain at times.

He was great and broke big runs (remember the one where he shoe came off), but Hill has done the same.

I saw him play for Leesville several times. He was the best High School RB I've ever seen.

this is why his legend has grown to the ridiculous level it is today. he was a great back but there are a many who will never admit there is or was a better back than cecil Collins. he had 3 games and dominated all three.

Sometimes all you have to do is do something a few times well in front of a large audience and never do it again.

Faulk was better.

Like I say, I saw him too. I saw him at the time and every run he ever had is on Youtube. I am not saying he wasn't a great RB, but I don't get how you can say he was the best college RB you've ever seen.

Cecil was an amazing player. One if the best i ever saw in tiger stadium. But the body of work makes him a bad comparison to Hill.

Here are those 3 games:

22 carries for 172 yards, (7.8 YPC)
27 carries for 232 yards, (8.6 YPC)
20 carries for 179 yards, (9.0 YPC)

I've seen every carry of both players. I'd take Cecil as my first RB pick every time......as long as character didn't matter......oh wait.

Collins wasn't the same back after he came back from the broken leg. He was the second best RB at McNeese while he was there.

Collins would've easily won the Heisman during his career.
