There are excessively negative and excessively positive people. In other words, plenty of dumb to go around.

if you grew up w/ an overcritical father, who always found fault with you, what have you learned?

the negativism is all learned behavior. it is not natural to criticize, it is part of nurture.

just thank god that you are not as negative. most of the negative is fueled by alcohol.

continue to inspire and be positive, because you have to know the unhappiness these people live with 24/7.

The real answer is that to many fans, anything less than a national championship is a failure. And this team has far too many issues to win that. We are scoring runs inspite of our bats, and we have 1 great starting pitcher, 1 really good starting pitcher and a closer.

It will be very difficult to win a series in the post season unless something magical happens.

LSU fans have just become very negative over the last decade. No clue if it is the online situation younger fans are just assholes or what but it is getting to be a real problem as parents of recruits are starting to talk about it.

Win or loss people are bitching. I know it is just what some LSU fans do, but damn.

It's a reflection of society today, It's not what have you done lately it's what are you doing now!

And it's magnified for LSU baseball because of what LSU baseball is relative to every other school in the sport. It just means so much more here.

For most others it's just..."it's just baseball, who cares".

If you do this you are a bandwagon fan

It's getting old when you can't be a fan and get bad when the team isn't doing something well

Hmmmmmmmmmmm.....I'm not sure if you are serious, but in case you are...I disagree. It's a negative world we live in a lot of the time and sports has its fair share of the negative types who seem to get off picking apart LSU teams.

Take baseball...does the team have flaws/weakness? Sure, but the team has found ways to overcome those to win 9 of their last 10, be Top 10 NR, and be in position to have a shot at winning the west/SEC.

I see threads speaking to poor coaching, poor hitting. poor base running and on and on, but not too many, if any, speaking bout how the TEAM is fighting each game to win and play itself into a top seed position.

We are a spoiled lot of fans. I don't know how anyone can deny that fact and we seem much more eager to be critical than understanding of the teams effort to be successful.

But if your first reaction after last night was not "yeah, we beat Ole Miss!" but instead was "WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THAT, NEGATIGERS? SUCK IT!":

Then who's really the one with the problem?

And don't say it's not true. There are 10 posts on page 1 like this every time LSU wins.

Probably because of the over 100 PAGES of negative bullshite. I understand being frustrated, I was extremely frustrated at times last night. But the chicken little dramatic stuff is insufferable.

The whole nega vs. posi battle is fricking retarded, but if you can't see that there are two sides to the coin, then I can't help you.

Mine was relief and pleasure. It's always a great feeling to win the 1st game in a road series.

And what would the threads/post been like if we had found a way to lose the game rather than found a way to win the game?

Baseball is a long season with lots of games and a fair amount of ups and downs during the course of the season. Is losing a game or series a good thing...of course not. But it's not cause for calling out players, team, or coaching staff either. imo

We are Top 10 NR, won 9 of 10, in position to win the west, as we have done the past 2 yrs, and fighting for a 1 or 2 national seed....seems like there is a hell of a lot more good going on with this team than bad, but you wouldn't think that with the complaining seen here more times than not. imo

With Katz and Rhymes gone , Bregman feels that it is his responsibility to win the big games on his own. The truth is that Alex will probably only have 4-5 AB in a game. If his teammates can pull their weight then I think ABreg would not feel as much anxiety. Losing two studs in Katz and Rhymes is a big deal.
