I have zero control over how they play but I still feel sick to my stomach like it was all my fault

Because you did something to cause them to lose. Probably washed a dirty shirt or socks that were solely responsibly for the 3 wins. Thanks a-hole.

Fans win and lose with the team. That is just what it is.

Because your local team lost, which means your tribe lost the food and/or land that they were fighting for. That sickening feeling is you dying of starvation in the Game of Thrones world.

Now grab your fricking sword and quitcherbitchin.

Be there all in during the games. The key is after it is over give your self 5 minutes then regroup and move on with your life. at the end of the day the outcome of a LSU game does not change your life for good or for bad but nothing wrong with being there in the moment.

Anyone who seriously gets upset about a game played by some kids has some mental issues

Maybe seek counseling?

I tell my wife the same thing all the time. Football season is brutal at times, tonight I didn't at all expect us to steal a W from UF going whole staff against Singer. Yet still I'm on the rant at nearly 11 pm when I'm usually asleep by 9:30 every night.

That one day made me more numb to LsU sports then I used to be. I don't even like to talk about it, but I try not to take games as hard anymore when we lose because i almost died a few times from heart attacks and depression. Lol

Don't be a dick.

It's called being a fan. We're emotionally invested in our team. We've spent our money to watch this team. We've spent our weekends and numerous weeknights following their ups and downs.

Will it really affect my life one way or another? No. (Neither will your kid getting dumped two hours before prom, but I should hope that you'll be emotionally impacted it.)

I've softened up over the years. But this one hurts...and that's because we knew it was an uphill battle in Game 1.

The worst for me was when the Spurs lost Game 6 to the Heat in the '13 Finals. That made the win in '14 as sweet as any victory. Unfortunately, I haven't experienced that redemption for LSU football.

It hurts more when it is against a rival. That's why this series has more magnitude it seems. This loss has me opening more bottles than normal.

Because you still think you can control things and you can't, and because you have put too much stock every bit of this.
