I posted this on the back end of the previous RS10 thread. I hadn't looked at his high school videos in years and was surprised to see how well he passed and ran UP THE MIDDLE. I'd like to see him get a few more opportunities from the backfield before the end of his career as an LSU Tiger.

And let him THROW IT JUST ONCE.

He maxed out in High School.

Happens to a lot of 5 star recruits.

I always thought he should of had a legitimate shot to compete at quarterback. Who knows, he could of been our version of "Johnny Football".

He had to be a better option than JJ was!

HE Might just surprise a lot of folks in the NFL.

I think his move to WR was a good one. He would never have been a QB in the NFL.

The throws started after the two minute mark. Should've held on a little longer.

But I watched him throw in that '08 spring game and his arm just wasn't there. Great player and even better Tiger but he just wasn't meant to be the quarterback.

I noted that in the original post, had to wait until the second half of the video.

In terms of the use of available talent once they are at LSU, well, Les Miles is a great recruiter...

How many of those clips did they show of him throwing the football? ... that's why.

Then, we didn't utilize him correctly after we transitioned him from QB.

A lot of good athletes from Texas are overrated because the level of high school coaching is so superior there to everywhere else that they appear more talented than they really are. Look at Loston, Seastrunk, etc. I still love Shep. He is a great tiger. He will do whatever he has to to help the team, like special teams, slot receiver, running back. He is a great student athlete and I am very proud he has been a tiger these 4 years.

I remember him fumbling after getting blown up a few times as a freshman. He hasn't put on much weight over the last 4 years.

Needs to put on 20lbs and catch the ball. He could have been a super star at smaller school. One of the few I would say should have not came to LSU.

He's not quarterback enough to be a quarterback (size, arm, accuracy, etc..)

He lacks size, route running precision and hands to be a wide receiver

He lacks size to be a RB

He's just a tweener for every position
