I'm sure West Lafayette is a pretty shitty college town.

Got injured during his sophomore season, came back from it but coaches didn't give him a chance to play again that season so he decided to play elsewhere. Team was really bad anyway, I don't blame him.

Better opportunity elsewhere. Has a chance to start in 17

He was terrible and got replaced by a still terrible but less terrible QB.

he figured there was one school with worse quarterbacking than Purdue, so he came.

He left because he was too good for Purdue and needed a challenge. He's unbelievable at short/intermediate throws and will take Brandon Harris's job. I was told this by some top level Tiger Rant posters.

He "has a chance" to start this year if BH gets hurt. Same chance he has in 17.

When was he injured his sophomore year? He didn't miss any time from an injury and can't find anything that says he was ever injured his sophomore year. The coaches gave him more than a chance to be their guy, he started the first 5 games of the season that year. And then was benched in favor of a true freshman because of his play.

I wish y'all would stop with this bullshite. He had a decent year with a shitty, shitty team as a true freshman. Besides he is a Tiger now so show him some respect. The guy will be the back up and if Harris struggles you will see Etling, fact!

I agree with you, but most of the cumguzzlers that like to get on the rant and bad-mouth these young men that represent LSU are too damn cool to respect anyone with true athletic ability.

I'm sure that they are all video game all stars. They don't have time for any real life experiences.

he saw jennings play in 2014 and Harris play in the Auburn game and said to himself "No way I can't beat out these two QB's"

Harris has obviously improved since that shellacking by auburn. If etling knows the playbook like many say he does and can hit short passes accurately, moving the chains today... it's going to be an interesting day for observers...

Purdue has been seriously awful since Wilford Brimley retired as head coach

Their current HC is fricking 6-30 going into his 4th year there

Simple, like many transfer. He sucked and lost his job to a younger QB. Transfered to a situation that he felt would be better and also to get a fresh start.

This happens all the time. Hopefully he has regrouped and has become better because if Harris goes down, we need a solid #2.

ETA:

Before anybody starts going crazy, Harris sucked too in plenty of games last year. I think they'll both improve.
