Because he is a 3-4 NT and Orgeron stupidly was hellbent on switching to a 4-3 even though Aranda and Co. had been recruiting for a 3-4.

This. And what D did we play a lot this year and look the best at... you got it, 3-4. The beginning of the end for 0 was when he started to run his mouth on the 4-3.

Orgeron only worked off of past experiences. The guy had zero ability to be creative. USC ran a 4-3….therefore it had to be the best. That’s what happens when you have someone at the helm who literally doesn’t have one original thought in his head.
