My LSU fanhood is due to four generations of Tiger fans on my mother and father's side. My grandfather on my mother's side was a student at LSU when Huey Long was governor and he got a job at the old state capitol building as an elevator operator. The Kingfish helped get him the job so that he could pay his way through LSU. It goes back several generations on both sides and I was born within the shadow of Tiger Stadium on Alaska Street when my Dad was in law school at LSU. My parents have raised me to love LSU from the day I was born.

My father played for Auburn, my brother is a Bammer (went to USA), we grew up in CENLA and I became a Tiger (both degrees from USL). I guess mostly because it is the flagship university and at the time when I grew up was the only Louisiana school on TV. I could not see myself ever being anything but a Fighting Tiger!

Born a Tiger fan and will die one. My dad taught me to love LSU, and I have been loving them for almost 53 years.

Because I want to be...have been following since 5 years old. Went to school there and I am just crazy about them.

My road trip to a game is rather long, coming from Abu Dhabi. I will make 2-3 games this year and that is not making the first game, APPY St, because my brother is getting married on Aug 30 in Venezuela. But the chicks at least will be hot

From the age of 12 I grew up in a boy's home in New Orleans. The superintendent, and my legal guardian, was a big Tulane fan and a graduate of USL. However, my counselor was an LSU alum and a tim tom player in the greatest band in the history of mankind. He got me interested in all things LSU and we had no options other than to watch LSU whenever they were on tv. I was fortunate enough to be able to get e scholarship to go to the state school of my choice, however, without a family support group, i.e. no money, no car, etc. I was relegated to attending UNO. I know I was one of the only UNO students who ever wore LSU gear to a UNO-LSU baseball game. My Privateer friends didn't like it much but screw them! haha Now I sport the purple and gold often and flaunt it in the faces of many of UNO's professors, with whom I am acquainted.

Born an LSU Tiger. Will die an LSU Tiger. Went to my first game in utero. Was there with my twin brother floating in amniotic fluid when #20 took the punt all the way back. Got seasick but loved every minute of it.

BTW, took my son to his first game at one years of age to the bring back the magic game. Had to take him out of the stadium near half due to the drunk Auburn fans wanting to fight. My son did not leave willingly. Momma made him. Not sure where my 14 year old will go to college but he was born an LSU Tiger and will die an LSU Tiger. Just like his Dad and his Dad'd dad and his dad's dad's dad and his dad's dad's dad's dad.

We fought for the colonists. We fought for the South. We love LSU. End of story.

My great grandfathers played on football team from 1908-1911; four generations later, my grandparents, parents, and I went.

I sometimes wish I hadn't been raised a fan of s school, so I could put some more thought into picking a college, but I had a good time at LSU and in any event it's water under the bridge.

My 81 year old Dad went there. Older bro went there, younger sis went there, spent 6 of the best years of my life there getting my BA, worked for three years, couldn't make an honest living and went back in 1983 for my J.D.
