No, they'll simply shift in their criticism. It will go from "a decent QB will never develop under Miles" to "Miles finally let Cam run the offense."

Either way, the only credit Miles will ever receive from them is negative credit.

Exactly. I remember Lee Chattlein, however you say his name, was all mad about what we did with the 09 class. When I said for starters, went from 9-4 to 11-2 and from 11-2 to 13-1, I got downvoted. Like what do you expect? Would you rather us be UF and Texas. Pull in the top two classes in 2010, and go like this during its 5 eligibility;

Weak SEC East
UF #1 class
8-5
7-6
11-2
4-8 (lost to FCS team)
7-6 (fire coach)

Big 12 joke conference
Texas #2 class
5-7
8-5
9-4
8-5 (fire coach)
6-7 (lose 5 games by 21+ points)

Or would you rather be like LSU (toughest division in College Football

LSU #2 class
9-4
11-2
13-1 SEC champion
10-3
10-3

All I said was that Miles should look at what style offense brought him a NC in the past and adjust accordingly and let his hosses on the field run. I recall when Jimbo was OC and we played Auburn with J Russ and all those receivers with 3/4 of AU secondary out and we ran all game long!! Think that was the Doucet bogus interference game. Also recall the Fla game plan after the UGA game in Metts Senior year with all those receivers. All I want is to let the playmakers loose and not be so predictable!!!

Until Harris starts all of next season, I won't believe it.

I want to be proven wrong.

wait, I thought we were supposed to believe that Crowton wasn't allowed to run his offense at LSU. Since Miles always overrules the playcalling, I guess he gets the credit for the 07 offense

LSU run up the middle for 12 yards

"GREAT CALL BY THE OC, MILES FINALLY LETTING HIM RUN THE OFFENSE"

LSU run up the middle for no gain

"GODDAMN IT MILES STOP CALLING THE PLAYS!!!"

Not what I said at all. But don't worry if he goes 8-5 again but throws in a "stiff dew" comment, or talks about a 17 yr old not having enough "chest", or eats grass you will be there to proclaim him the coach you would have over any other I am sure. We love our characters in La don't we?

And if he goes 13-0 I'm sure you'll be around saying we won every game in spite of miles

Jennings:

"Coach was it necessary for you to change the playbook while I was in jail, I am lost now?".

Coach Miles:

"Why don't you sit there and have a grass smoothie, ponder your want for doors, I'm busy liking my new QB"

I am for doing something different from last year as well and would like to see Harris start. That said, you can't totally ignore Jennings. If he is second string, he is just one play (moreso injury) away from being the starter again.

Yeah while these imbeciles yuck it up over him watching Harris by Miles, had Jennings left this year, we'd have a backup true freshman again. Harris likes to run and if he gets injured I guess these guys would rather the backup suck.

It's a shame when a guy can't even get support from the fanbase he is playing for.

It's reminiscent of the way LSU fans treated Lee before and during the 2009 season.

Why is it so important to you dipshites that Miles "gets the credit" for something?

Who cares? I don't. I just want a quality product on the field come September 5th.....and I could give less than zero fricks who makes that happen. Whether it CLM, O, CCC, or the players themselves (there's a novel idea)....just get it fricking done and let's actually play to our FULL potential one season. Wouldn't that be refreshing.

I've been a BH backer from the day he set foot on campus. If he can't get it done after this much time with the first team and ample time to learn the playbook, Im not gonna blame Miles for that. We can simply hand the reins over to AJ and prepare our collective anuses.

I agree. We saw at auburn how quick an injury can happen. Jennings has to continue to prepare.

It's like these dumbasses have forgotten that we have had two years in Miles tenure where the starting QB lasted the whole year whether injury or bad play.

2005 - Jamarcus starter, out for bowl game, Flynn wins against Miami
2006 - we good
2007 - Flynn hurt Perriloux wins SECCG
2008 - Hatch hurt, RSFR Lee hurt, TRFR Jefferson loses against Arky by 1 and help beats GT by 35
2009 - Jefferson knocked out against Bama, Lee plays the rest of the game and wins the LA Tech game
2010 - played musical chairs for 11-2, Jefferson knocked out against Bama, Lee makes deep pass to win game
2011 - Lee first 9, Jefferson last 5 and comes in and with the help of Ford, the defense, and the kicking game, we beat Bama on the road. We go 13-1 with both
2012 - Mett got jaw jacked against UNT game one, but played the rest of the year good
2013 - Mett hurt, Jennings goes 99 yard drive to win against Arky and at least doesn't cause us to lose against Iowa (see Mett 2012 vs Clemson)
2014 - Jennings/Harris played musical chairs for about 3 early games, Jennings got injured twice against Bama coming off hurt, Harris gets sprained ankle against Auburn

So while people are getting their jollies in, they better hope like hell he gets better just in case.

You sound like you really have it out for him. According to the reports, his shite was stolen, he found out who stole it, and he went to get it back. This is not some uncommon thing, and it doesn't make him a bad guy, but he did make a mistake, especially because he is a high profile student.

I guess you were the saint or upstanding citizen all your life huh?

I wasn't on TD for 2008, but I heard about how bad it was. Wasn't Billy Cannon or some LSU great talking about wanting the true freshman Jefferson to start in 2008? I might just be mistaken who said it, but I remember it being a high profile old guy.

It's also worse than the DJ Welter saga which was awful itself.

I'll go on record now saying that any NC we win from here to the end of the Miles era will be 100% due to his ability to self scout himself and make the necessary adjustments in philosophy to match the talent he continues to reel in. He is an excellent recruiter that does not have the hardware to match the talent, not unlike Phil Fulmer to this point. Win another title or two and he goes down as one of the greatest coaches in BCS/Playoff history along with Saban and Meyer. Don't win another, esp with the recurring level as it is now, and he will be remembered for a Mack Brown/Phil Fulmer type career. Like it or not we have been passed up by Bama during his tenure and are perceived to be out of that elite category now. I think he realizes what is in front of him and will do what is needed to win another NC or two. And it will be 100% his doing, as was 07'.
