They're always doubting everything about LSU it seems. The coach, the players, the fans, etc.. everyone is suspected of being sub-par in the minds of the nega-tards.

It reminds me of the cavemen on the Geico commercial -- afraid of being exposed as a lesser entity in the eyes of the rest of the humanity.

I say be proud of your team, and know that as long as Miles makes sure the guys give it the ol' college try, regardless of the outcome of a game, they'll always be considered champions in the eyes of Tiger Nation.

Alex, I 'll take "Things LSU fans only say when they're sober" for $200, please!

Seriously, though, if not for Nega-Tigers then who would Jimmy Ott and Buddy Songy have to talk to? Red Stick radio would be oh so boring without the endless rants...

Nobody asked you to read an LSU Sports board.

We expect more than the ol' college try, and sometimes we don't even feel we get that.

It's not just LSU fans, every major sports program is like this. There are people that want coaches like Tressel and Stoops fired. Texas fans wanted Mack Brown fired before 05. There are people who think Carrol is done. That's just college, it's far worse in the pros.

High expectations make sports unfun. When you do win, it doesn't feel as good. When you lose, people go crazy and overreact. It has not been fun being a Cowboys fan the last 10 years. I don't even want to know what it's like being a Yankees fan.

Because when you are a pessimist there are only two possible outcomes. Either you are proven right....or you are pleasantly surprised!

Posters on TD are very nasty, very insecure, the most negative post on any site. If they had to pay they would not be here

This, in a nutshell, about sums up why the natives are restless.

You are demonstrating the classic false debating device of attributing to all whatever is said by any. In fact, there are very few individuals who disparage all of the elements of the program you listed. Those who criticize the coaches frequently defend the players and/or the fans. Those who criticize the players frequently defend the coaches. Those who criticize the fans frequently defend the coaches and/or the players. Your attempt to expose a general mentality of negativity on all fronts is based on the false premise that if one ranter criticizes the coaches, another criticizes the players, and a third criticizes the fans, then "ranters" criticize all three. In fact, "ranters" is not an identifiable entity that speaks with one voice.

It's like saying Americans hate Republicans and Democrats because you can find some Americans who hate one and some who hate the other (and in fact a few who hate both). But the fact that Republicans and Democrats hold almost every meaningful political office in the country demonstrably proves the conclusion that "Americans" hate them both to be obviously wrong.

Just like your conclusion about "ranters".

I hear what you are saying about having perspective and I do. The thing I have a hard time with is Les making 3.7 million a year. He has been shut out the last 2 years by Saban, Nutt, and Meyer. Les deserves another year, but I am not sure at this point for 3.7 mil trying hard is enough. We can find a coach for half as much money who will try hard and be what Les was the last 2 years. If finishing 2nd and 3rd in the West is good enough for the fans then fine lets go back to the 90s. Let's stop making Les the highest paid state employee.

The average ranter is 6 feet 1 and dates a 9 blonde bombsell (on a scale of 10) and lettered in 4 sports in high school. NO need for insecrity.

if you were full of fear, wouldn't you want to find a safe place?
if you had no faith in the coaches or players or other fans, wouldn't you want a place with others who feel the way you do?

well, welcome to the ranturds or should i say rantards. (excuse my spelling.)

studies have shown that lonely depressed individuals seek others to share their negativity with. it usually will bring down those closest....
UNLESS, their is a POSITIGER to defend the boundaries of lsu and show the way to the ones who can only see the dark side.

a lot of the depression can be naturally hibernated (therefore you get meds), but most depression negativity is NURTURED (probably by parents) and can be changed by just changing your attitude.

read the positive stuff and you will be positive.
read negative criticism and you will be negative.

luv yall,

I doubt you really meant that.
