Ok, you both got me. Gosh. I was lying...
YES, you obviously were. Please explain to me how you didn't get tickets to the cotton bowl, Capital One Bowl and 2 previous Peach Bowls all this decade when LSU didn't have to implement the priorty point system b/c demand didn't exceed supply. You can't b/c you are a lying bitch that just looks for reasons to complain. If you requested tickets to those bowl game you would have received them. Hell, if you had donated a few hundred dollars a year for the past 6 years, you would have gotten tickets to the Sugar Bowl/National Title games as well ( I know, b/c thats what I did).

Like it or not...this is the reality of being a top program. It sucks, but it is what it is.

If you want to be one of those guys that gets all of the perks then you have to donate. Like Mr. French said, "hey this America, make more fricking money."

So why aren't the big TAF donors stepping to the plate and buying tickets? And why aren't people looking at them instead of us?

Because they are just as bored with the team as you. Duh. Just cause they get first dibs doesn't mean they have to take em.

But my point is don't blame the working middle class for not having the money to just throw down for a philanthropic effort at buying a set of bowl tickets this year just to prove a point that we're a great fanbase. Chances are the big donors could afford to do that more than we could.

Alright I get what you are saying. You're blaiming the Ath. Dept. and, for the most part, you are right.

So far as the big donors go...perhaps their absence will be viewed as a message. DO SOMETHING. This isn't OK.

I agree, all the actual fans have to get creative to go the NCG but when it's a lesser bowl we have to take up the slack. Tie these tickets to a shot at next years bowl whatever it is and they'd sell out in no time

Think of it as actually getting the opportunity to go at face value without having to pay what season tickets cost year in and year out.

My only complaint is how many tickets the university takes out before the boosters get their shot. Ok, I also agree with one of the posters that said you shouldn't be able to get more postseason/away tickets than you have in Tiger Stadium. Frankly though, I don't know how many that is. If you have a top point ranking, you either have a buttload of tickets or are dropping big money. I'm betting that this isn't as big of a number as you might think.

I don't like that there are bandwagon fans, that happen to have money, get to sap up some of the best seats in TS and ultimately some of the away and postseason tickets. Again, I think there's less of them then you might think.

Money does get you in the game, but why shouldn't it? Should LSU pick one guy with a $50 over a guy with 5 $100's?

Everybody sees what it takes to get good seats, away tickets, etc. now. IF LSU happens to have another down time, buy! When it comes back, you'll be one of those bandwagon, not "real", rich, unfair fans that other people will bitch about.

My only complaint is the NCCG. Yes I understand the logic of give it to the people with $'s but NOT pissing on your real backers is good logic too.

I'm sure this has been asked, but where the frick is TAF?

Last season they were eating up the bowl tickets. Now they're nowhere to be found, yet the common people who can't afford to donate money to the program are being blamed for tickets not selling. bullshite.

you do realize "common people" can be a part of TAF too.

Its not an exclusive rich people club.

Im not rich, but Ive been a member of TAF for 8 years.

Well, didn't season ticket holders (the TAF Priority Point system) get us to about 10,000? That's a far cry short, but this ISN'T the NCG. People vote with their wallet all the time. It's easy for me to go because I live in Atlanta.

I guess the economy did have an effect on me too. Normally, I'll put in for every bowl game. This season, I limited it to bowls within a 4 hour drive, BCS games, and the two SEC Florida bowls.

I guess that really only eliminated Cotton, Independence, and Liberty.

Still, this year's product isn't a huge draw and LSU has been to Atlanta/Athens 5 times (that I could count) since '03 and will be in Athens next year too.

That sounds like a recipe for apathy to me.
