Who's Levingston's backup?

Watching the game over game, Washington ran at him for huge gains. He's got to play better than that. He was lost most times.

Chauncey something or another. Can't spell the last name.

AGAYHAIRY or something

#87 Chancey Aghayere is the player who came into the game for him.

That's right, he's much better player than #95. I am sorry if I offend anyone, but, my God #95 missed so many tackles. Washington's 1st drive in 2nd qtr. he had a chance for sack,& totally missed the qb.

The angle he took on a obviously faster back on the opening drive screen was not good at all.Other than that he did ok to me,not great but ok.

Yep, and Locker made him look stupid on one play late in the game ... made him commit inside and break contain ... Locker ran right around him for a big gain.
Not as bad as Levingston's attempted coverage on that zone blitz on the first drive though.

Montgomery or Brockers could see substantial playing time.

Hopefully coaches will call him out on those miss tackles during film watch.

Ahh, it was just a freshman mistake. I'm sure he'll feel stupid enough about it himself when he sees the replay.
In general, though, LSU coaches have historically been terrible at teaching contain on defense.
Cutrera did as good a job on this aspect of the game as I've seen in over 10 years last night though, so I'm happy with that.

Doc Fenton, I gotta agree with you on Cutrera, he was great on that game. Watching it over, I appreciate the guy (was never a big fan of his). He saved us on many of those miss tackles by DBs.

Yep, and he also ran out ahead of plays at times, leading it like a LB is supposed to, thus making the runner stop and cut back into other LSU defenders who get credit for the easy tackle. He was solid all around.
Riley & Sheppard made some positional mistakes early in the game, but settled down to play good games after. And Coleman was one HELL of a blitzer. It's always good to have a great blitzer, and he might be our best since LaRon Landry.

He played apparently, but I don't remember seeing him. I do remember seeing #89 Lavar Edwards though.

Alem was not much better. contined to rush inside and fail to contain, allowing backs to sweep to the left. Only one on the DL that was doing his job was Nevis.

Alem can be a feast or famine type of player some games, and I sort of envision Coleman being the same way. Alem did get beaten badly a couple of times during the game, but you have to remember, it's his job to provide almost all of the pressure from the D-line (God knows we're not going to get it from anybody else), so he sort of HAS to go with reckless abandon.

What number is he? I have it on pause right now to watch Fl St/ Miami game.
