I'd say Iowa... There's way too much late game drama with the Tigers... It could kill Joe Pa.

We need to have a little revenge against both teams- That last bowl game with Iowa still gives me nightmares, & don't forget we owe Penn St. payback from the 1971 Orange Bowl- We scored the 1st time we had the ball but Penn St. (Joe Paterno) made adjustments & we didn't have another touchdown or FG in that game...

Changed my mind ,PSU! With bowden gone this could and may be Joe's last year! It wouldbe great if LSU sent him out with a "L"!!!!

LSU would present a great challenge to the hawkeyes. Ther are some simmilarities. Iowa's O has been inconsistent this year (like 04. But the D has been very very good.
LSU has more speed. But so does 10 of 12 of Iowa's opponents each season.

I hope you guys play Penn State, because that means Iowa is in the Fiesta Bowl.
You guys that think PSU is the stronger team and Iowa is weak are delusional. I remember you all saying that same kinda stuff in '05 before the Cap One Bowl. If I remember correctly (and I do because I was there) Iowa came out and smacked LSU in the mouth in that game. In your defense your guys made a comeback... only to lose.
Iowa will have a month to prepare for either LSU or Boise St. Whoever the opponent is will get the Hawks best and they are pretty damn good, especially on defense. I remember all you guys scoffing at our defense in '05... This years D is better than that one.
Anyways, I know I'm talking smack... but I'm glad you guys are hoping for Penn State ... might have a better chance at a W.

The people thinking Penn St is better than Iowa are as high as a kite.
Penn St has lost the only meaningful games its played this year. And both were at home. LSU would beat Penn St, not so sure about Iowa.

Bowl games are designed to make money. More money will be made in fan base from Penn State. I suspect the Cap 1 folks are considering this and will pick them. I hate both because we've lost to both. I wish we could play both in the near future and
