2011 vs 2003 positions
Qb- 2003 easily and is the main difference between the 2 teams
Rb-2011 ware,blue,ford , & magee
Wr- 2011 OBJR,landry, wright,randle,shep
Oline-2003 better pass protection
Dline- 2011 wins because of massive depth advantage
LB- 2003
Dbs- TM7,mo,reid,Brooks, taylor,simon,and collins
Punter and kicker- brad wing's 2011 season is probably the best season ever for a lsu Punter.
Coaching- massive advantage for 2003

2011 wins that game. Best regular season performance ever for LSU, and against MUCH better competition.
People are overreacting to the rematch loss. Truth is, you don't usually win rematches against great teams; look at Spurrier's sole national title. He beat a Fla St team that... wait on it... beat Florida during the regular season. If the bowl matchups were different that season, Fla State wins the title.
Coaching matchup (the Miles vs Saban argument)- Miles beat Saban in Tuscaloosa that season, and in BR the year before. Saban didn't know how to beat Miles going into that game, he needed a live rehearsal to figure it out. He wouldn't get that in the proposed matchup.
Defenses would keep the scoring low, but I give 2011 Honey Badger the deciding factor; there would be a key non-offensive score that would be the difference.
And like others have pointed out, 2011 Wing would also be a factor. People are forgetting that he completely negated the punt return game that season.

Just simmed the matchup with Lee starting 10x via whatif sports (pretty cool little tool, I'll link below) and 2011 went 7-3 for what that's worth. Obviously not scientific but the computer favors 2011.

That's pretty cool. Does this tool require registration?
I also noticed that this site says that the 2011 team is 12-0. But they were actually 13-1.

No, you can sim whatever matchups you want for free, you can also edit depth charts, weather, etc.

The squad that gave up 43 points to Kentucky and 50 points to Arkansas? They wouldn't match up, at all.

2011 was the best LSU team of all time IMO. So I'd pick them. It would be very close though.
2003, 2007, 2011 (1973, 1988, 1969) all were excellent years. To pick one over another is impossible (for me it is)
